The apartment itself is gorgeous – I mean, they really went all out with the renovation while keeping that classic Dresden character intact. The rooms are spacious in a way that actually lets you spread out and live a little, not just survive between sightseeing trips. What really got me was the attention to detail everywhere; quality linens that don’t feel scratchy, a kitchen that’s actually equipped for more than just reheating leftovers, and these little touches throughout that show someone genuinely cares about the guest experience. The whole “exclusive apartment for relaxation” thing in the name isn’t just marketing speak – they really designed this place for people who want to unwind properly. Parking was straightforward too (always a relief in German cities), and the check-in process was smooth without being overly formal.

Here’s the thing about the Prohlis location that most visitors don’t realize – yes, you’re about 20 minutes from Dresden’s historic center, but that distance is actually perfect. You get to experience how locals actually live, there’s a genuine neighborhood feel with bakeries and small shops nearby, and honestly, the tram connections into the city are frequent and easy once you figure out the system. Plus, when you come back after a day of navigating tourist crowds in the Altstadt, stepping into this quiet residential area feels like exhaling. The villa sits on a street that’s residential enough to be peaceful (seriously, I slept better here than at places right downtown), but you’re not stranded in the middle of nowhere either. I’d actually recommend this setup to anyone who wants to see Dresden but also values having a proper retreat at the end of the day – especially if you’re staying more than just a night or two and want to settle in rather than just crash somewhere.

  Die Villa ist perfekt für einen erholsamen Urlaub in Dresden, es fehlt wirklich an nichts! Sogar Duschzeug und Shampoo sind da! Hausschuhe stehen in der Wohnung, der Regenschirm wurde natürlich auch nicht vergessen! Bei der Anreise steht sogar eine Flasche Sekt und eine Flasche Wasser auf dem Tisch! Das nenne ich mal einen herzlichen Willkommensgruß. Die Buslinie 63 hält direkt vor der Tür, was für uns perfekt war. Wir mußten das Auto über das ganze Wochenende nicht mehr benutzen. Das Auto konnte man direkt kostenlos an der Straße parken, perfekt! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder in die Villa zu unserem nächsten Urlaub in Dresden! Und wir empfehlen die Villa Freia sehr gerne mit gutem Gewissen weiter!
  
  What could be improved: Leider eine Badewanne im Bad. Wir können da zum Duschen noch reinklettern, aber meine Eltern z.B. beide 76 Jahre alt, würden da natürlich nicht mehr reinkommen zum Duschen! Deshalb nur für bewegliche Menschen geeignet!
  Es gibt keinen Backofen in der Wohnung, nur zur Info für alle, die sich ihre Brötchen morgens selbst ausbacken wollen.

  The apartment is absolutely perfect as the hosts! We liked the style of the apartment. It had all the amenities we needed, with a big kitchen, large living room, huge bedroom and good bathroom with everything we needed! We enjoyed the stay very much. If we come to Dresden again we will definitely come to villa freia!!!! There plenty of parking spaces on the street.

  Everything was perfect, the villa is extremely beautiful nice host, super clean. The location is close to everything, you can use bus nr 63 or tram nr 9. Parking is safe and free in fron if the villa. Snaxks and water were provided. We will come back for sure.
