Turns out it’s basically a ground-floor apartment that’s been converted into guest accommodation, and honestly? It works way better than you’d think. The place sits right on Ackermannstraße, which – if you know Dresden at all – puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything but not drowning in tourist crowds.

The real winner here is that massive terrace they mention in the name. I mean, they’re not exaggerating – this thing is actually huge for a 3-star place. Perfect for morning coffee if you’re an early riser, or evening drinks if you picked up some local beer from the corner shop. Speaking of location, the “TOP Anbindung” part isn’t just marketing speak either. You’ve got tram connections practically at your doorstep, and getting into Dresden’s Altstadt takes maybe 15 minutes on public transport. What I really appreciated was how quiet Ackermannstraße gets after about 9 PM – you know how some central locations can be with late-night noise, but this street sort of tucks away from the main thoroughfares.

The apartment itself feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I actually prefer. There’s proper kitchen equipment if you want to grab groceries from the Rewe down the street, and the whole setup makes sense for longer stays or if you’re traveling with friends who want to spread out a bit. Check-in was surprisingly smooth – none of that awkward waiting around in a tiny lobby situation. I will say the building’s entrance is a bit understated, so don’t expect some grand hotel facade, but once you’re inside, everything feels well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged. The 8.3 rating makes complete sense to me – it’s not trying to be luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises, and sometimes that’s worth more than fancy amenities you’ll never use anyway.

  What a great place to stay in Dresden. The appartment is cosy, it has a nice little garden and a very comfy bed. We parked the car for free – there was always a place to park.

  Comfortable bed. Bathroom/shower was great. Kitchen appliances/accessories was a nice touch. Close to tram station which takes you directly into city centre. Walking distance to grocery store.

  It was very well prepared and clean, with extra covers, pillows and kitchenware .
