Plus, there’s a decent bakery right around the corner on Dohnaer Straße that locals actually use, not just tourists buying overpriced pretzels.

What really sold me was the attention to detail inside – and I say this as someone who’s stayed in plenty of places that promise “authentic charm” and deliver IKEA furniture. The apartment genuinely feels like a thoughtful restoration. The floors have that satisfying creak of old wood, but everything works properly (the shower pressure was actually impressive, which… let’s be honest, that matters). The kitchen setup is better than my actual apartment – I mean, they even had proper coffee, not those terrible instant packets. The whole space gets this gorgeous light in the afternoon that makes you want to just sit there with a book. I did notice some street noise in the mornings, but nothing major – just the usual sounds of people heading to work, which honestly felt kind of cozy. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of place where someone clearly cares about the guest experience without making a big show about it.

  Great apartment in a residential area. Good for travellers who want to relax after a day of sightseeing. The apartment is very spacious and very clean. It has everything you need to cook and a small balcony where you can see the pleasant street. I would recommend this apartment if you don't mind a 45min-1 hour walk to the centre or using public transport.

  Die Wohnung hat uns außerordentlich gut gefallen. Sie ist sehr zentral gelegen und sehr persönlich mit allem Komfort eingerichtet und super ausgestattet.

  Sehr schöne großzügige, geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung mit Waschmaschine und Kaminofen. Alles vorhanden, von Geschirr über Weingläsern bis zu Büchern, Bügelbrett und Kinderspiele. Moderne Ausstattung. Prosecco und Pralinen zur Begrüßung. Sehr nette Vermieter. S-Bahnststion in der Nähe. Parkplätze vor dem Haus. Gute Schallisolierung, ruhige, bürgerliche Lage. Habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt.
  
  What could be improved: Leider wenig Platz für Bekleidung, da Schränke und Kommoden in den Schlafzimmern mit zusätzlichem Bettzeug vollgestopft sind. Eine Familie mit Kind bekommt hier Probleme.

  It is a great place to stay in Dresden. The apartment is very spacious and extremely well and tastefully furnished. We found the host to be very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We got all the information from the owner on how to move around and where to buy fresh bread and what was worth seeing, it was very informative. Beds were comfy, all amenities you would expect were there and in working order. All in all I could not recommend it more.
  
  What could be improved: I cannot complain on anything, it was a perfect place for our stay.
