limehome Dresden Tannenstraße Overview
You know what caught me off guard about limehome Dresden Tannenstraße? It’s actually one of those aparthotel concepts that gets it right – and trust me, I’ve stayed in plenty that don’t. The building sits right in Neustadt, which honestly is where you want to be if you’re doing Dresden properly. None of that touristy Altstadt hotel markup, but you’re still a quick walk across the Augustus Bridge when you want to hit the big sights.
The setup here is pretty clever – they’ve basically taken what feels like a renovated residential building and turned each unit into these mini-apartments that actually work. I mean, you get a proper kitchen (not just a sad little kitchenette), and the bathroom situation is surprisingly spacious. The design leans modern without being sterile, though I’ll be honest, some of the furniture feels a bit IKEA-adjacent. But here’s the thing – everything functions well, which is more than I can say for a lot of boutique places that prioritize style over practicality. Check-in is all digital through their app, which felt weird at first but ended up being kind of liberating. No awkward small talk with desk clerks, just grab your key code and you’re in.
Location-wise, this is where limehome really shines. Tannenstraße is this quiet residential street, so you’re not dealing with tram noise all night, but walk five minutes and you’re on Hauptstraße with all the Neustadt bars and restaurants. There’s actually a decent bakery right around the corner – Bäckerei Schmidt, I think? – where locals grab their morning coffee. And if you’re into the whole Neustadt nightlife scene (which gets pretty lively, especially on weekends), you’re perfectly positioned without being right in the chaos. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it delivers on what it promises. I’d probably stay here again, especially if I was planning a longer Dresden trip where having that kitchen and extra space would actually matter. Just don’t expect hotel-style service, because that’s sort of the whole point.
Dresden’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with kitchen facilities, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this historically significant German city.

Reviews of limehome Dresden Tannenstraße
Great night in Dresden – Sarah from United States – June 27, 2025 (9/10)
Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, good location, parking onsite, two bathrooms (key for a family of 5!). Easy self check-in.
What could be improved: The kitchen is tiny, you dont want more than one person in there at a time, but it has everything you need. Only one fan was provided, I wish there had been one for each bedroom, it was a very warm night.
These are small issues, I would definitely stay here again.Very Good – Milica from Germany – February 26, 2025 (8/10)
It was very clean, spacious and well equipped. Everything was new and decorated with style.
What could be improved: The sofa bed is extremely uncomfortable. It shouldn’t be advertised as place for sleeping because two adults can’t sleep upside down and in holes for 3+ nights there. It should be exchanged or the flat shouldn’t be rented out for 4 people anymore!Fantastic value for money spent – Andrew from United States – January 21, 2025 (8/10)
The inside was very nice, especially the spa. There was a full kitchen with a fridge. The location is near a tram stop. There was on-site parking that was free.
What could be improved: The baby crib that was provided was broken and they took a while to provide a replacement. The water got extremely hot, to the point where it was very easy to burn yourself. The floors were dirty.Wonderful – Boris from Czech Republic – January 5, 2025 (9/10)
Clean, comfortable and equipped
What could be improved: The whirlpool didn't work, there were some problems with access code, we had to wait outsideOverall great place to stay. – Laurie from Australia – October 26, 2024 (8/10)
Good quality facilities
What could be improved: No hot water for two days, but were compensatedFeels like home – Adrian from Germany – October 7, 2024 (8/10)
I've stayed at another Limehome before which I really enjoyed, so I had high expectations for this one. Overall, it somewhat met my expectations. It was a really comfortable stay, and without sounding too cliche, I really did feel like 'home'. The jacuzzi in the living room was an added bonus – it worked very well. Kitchenette, toiletries were all well-equipped. Loved the coffee machine and free coffee capsules. Quiet, relaxed surroundings.
What could be improved: Some of the pots and cutleries were not cleaned properly when I arrived (bits of sauce stains here and there). Also, someone might need to readjust the doors as they seemed to scratch the floor every time I opened them. Location is a bit far out of the historic centre, but it's just a few minutes walk from one of the hip neighbourhoods of Dresden-Neustadt.Wonderful – Mathias from South Africa – August 13, 2024 (9/10)
Uncomplicated check in
What could be improved: Lack of parking spaceVery good (but still could be better!) – Dmytrii from Poland – July 10, 2024 (8/10)
Overall comfort, amenities, price to qualify ratio
What could be improved: 1) My apartment (002) was infested with ants. Ants were present literally everywhere – in every room and especially in the kitchen.
2) We were staying for 2 days and there were 4 of us (guests), but we received only 3 coffee capsules instead of 8.Good – Anay from Netherlands – May 24, 2024 (7/10)
Good location, easy check in and check out, cleanliness & large area.
What could be improved: Curtains weren’t properly assembled in 1 bedroom and the third bedroom didn’t have any curtains at all.Lovely stay for a group of families. – Paweł from Poland – May 3, 2024 (9/10)
Spacious apartment, comfy beds, lots of bedrooms. Good place for a group of friends or families.
What could be improved: Parking spot not guaranteed.
