It’s actually tucked away on this quiet residential street right in Dresden’s Altstadt, but somehow you’re still walking distance from everything that matters. I mean, when I first looked at the address on Laurinstraße, I wasn’t sure what to expect – turns out it’s one of those perfectly positioned spots that locals probably wish tourists didn’t know about.

The building itself has that understated German efficiency thing going on, nothing fancy from the outside, but once you’re inside the apartment, it’s clear someone put thought into making visitors comfortable. The 8.8 rating honestly makes sense when you experience it – it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel (it’s a 3-star for a reason), but everything works properly and feels clean and well-maintained. The apartment setup means you get actual living space instead of just a cramped hotel room, which is clutch if you’re staying more than a couple nights or traveling with anyone else. I appreciated having a proper kitchen area because, let’s be real, eating out for every meal in Dresden adds up fast, and sometimes you just want to grab some local bread and cheese from one of the nearby shops.

What really sold me on the location was realizing I could walk to the Frauenkirche in about ten minutes without dealing with the tourist crowds on the main drags – there are these side streets that locals use that cut through pretty efficiently. The tram connections are solid too, though honestly, you’ll probably end up walking most places in the old town anyway. Parking was way less stressful than I expected (Dresden’s old town can be a nightmare for cars), and the neighborhood gets genuinely quiet at night, which is something you can’t say about every centrally located place. The only minor thing I’d mention is that being in an actual residential building means you need to be considerate about noise – these aren’t hotel walls, and you can tell there are regular residents living their lives around you. But that’s also part of what makes it feel authentic rather than touristy, if that makes sense.

  Geen ontbijt, wel vlakbij enkele supermarkten, dus dat konden we makkelijk zelf regelen.
  Dit appartement bevindt zich tegenover station Dresden Mitte en is dus makkelijk bereikbaar. Het historisch centrum van Dresden en het hippere Neustadt zijn met een wandeling van 10 tot 15 minuten best te lopen, en nog veel sneller als je met de tram of trein gaat.

  Exceptional location and the service provided by the staff are beyond our expectations. The apartment is spacious except for the bathroom. The WiFi network didn’t work the day after we checked in and we didn’t get any internet connection for almost 72 hours which was somewhat frustrating for us because we were tired from our hike in Saxon Switzerland NP and needed a few days of rest therefore we were very much staying at the apartment the whole time while this was happening. The staff were very active in finding a solution to solve this problem for us, this happened on the weekend so it wasn’t possible for them to get a service provider to fix it. And yes they found a way around it and get the WiFi back up and running again. All three people we met ( sorry I can’t remember the name) are all very lovely, kind, friendly and understanding people.

  Het was een heel schoon, comfortabel en rustig appartement en op loopafstand van het mooie oude centrum van Dresden, parkeren voor de deur was maar 6 euro per 24 uur.

• Perfekte Lage und ruhiges Appartement – Barbara from Germany – May 21, 2024 (7/10)

  Freundlicher und pünktlicher Empfang zur Wohnungsübergabe. Ausgezeichnete Lage im Zentrum (an der Altstadt) direkt an der S-Bahn, aber dennoch ruhig. Ruhiges Haus, Verkehr war nicht störend. Lift im Haus, unkomplizierter Zugang per NFC-Token. W-Lan in ausreichender Signalstärke vorhanden. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Cafés/Restaurants in der nahen Umgebung.
  
  What could be improved: Leider waren bei der Wohnungsübergabe noch die Hinterlassenschaften eines anderen in der Kloschüssel, so dass ich davon ausgehen muss, dass die Toilette nicht geputzt wurde. Das hat den Eindruck doch sehr getrübt, obwohl die Wohnung ansonsten sauber war. Die Benutzung der Küchengeräte (Toaster, Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine) habe ich mir auch gespart, die sind halt schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen (vor allem der Toaster sah nicht sehr appetitlich aus) und müssten m.E. halt mal ausgetauscht werden. War für mich jetzt nicht schlimm, habe eh auswärtig gegessen und ich denke, das ist bei anderen Appartementanbietern auch das gleiche Thema.

  The location is excellent, opposite the Mitte railway station but with no appreciable noise problem and lots of advantages. Only about 10 minutes walk to the heart of the city – for example the square outside the Opera House. The apartment is smartly, sensibly and conveniently laid out, with all the basic facilities one would seek for a stay of several weeks.

  Die Lage war gut, in 15 Minuten zu Fuß ist man in der Innenstadt und hat alle Sehenswürdigkeiten unmittelbar vor der Nase.
  Die Dame, die den Schlüssel übergab war sehr freundlich/geduldig und Übergabe unkompliziert. Man hatte bereits die Heizung angemacht, damit es warm wird.
  
  What could be improved: Wer Panoramablick möchte solle eine andere Wohnung wählen.
  Für uns persönlich waren die Betten etwas zu hart, aber das ist ja individuell unterschiedlich.
