Honestly, when I first walked up to 13 Neumarkt, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a place with such a long German name – but wow, this three-room suite absolutely delivered. You’re literally looking at the Frauenkirche from your windows, and I mean *literally* – not one of those “partial views if you crane your neck” situations that hotels love to oversell. The baroque dome is right there, especially stunning when they light it up at night.

The suite itself feels more like borrowing a well-connected friend’s apartment than staying in typical hotel digs. Three proper rooms give you space to actually spread out (you know how rare that is in European city centers), and the setup works whether you’re traveling as a couple who needs breathing room or with family. The kitchen isn’t just for show either – I actually used it, which was clutch for breakfast since the bakeries around Neumarkt open early and their pastries are incredible. Small thing, but the coffee maker is decent quality, not one of those tiny hotel pod machines that make sad espresso.

Location-wise, you’re in the sweet spot of Dresden’s Altstadt. Walk five minutes toward the river and you hit the Semperoper – I caught a performance there and could literally stroll back without dealing with trams or taxis. The Zwinger is close enough that you’ll probably end up there multiple times (I did), and honestly, being able to duck back to the apartment when museum fatigue hits was perfect. Neumarkt itself has solid restaurants, though it can get touristy – if you want where locals eat, head toward Hauptstraße, maybe ten minutes on foot. Parking… well, it’s Dresden’s old town, so yeah, that’s going to be interesting. I’d suggest the garage on An der Frauenkirche if you’re driving, but really, once you’re there, everything’s walkable.

What really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being right in the center. You’d think with all the tour groups and street musicians (and there are plenty), it would be chaos, but the windows are solid and the building feels substantial. The 9.6 rating makes sense – everything works, it’s clean without feeling sterile, and there’s this attention to small details that shows someone actually thought about what travelers need. I mean, there are proper hangers in the closet, decent lighting for reading, and the shower has actual water pressure. Sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many places miss these things.

If I’m being picky, the stairs to the first floor might be a bit much if you’re hauling heavy luggage – no elevator, which is pretty standard for these older buildings. And while the tourist location is mostly a plus, summer evenings can get lively outside until late. But honestly? For a 4-star place with this kind of authentic Dresden experience, those are pretty minor trade-offs. You’re getting quality accommodation in one of Germany’s most beautiful cities, right where you want to be.

  What could be improved: There is no Ac , the kids were complaining that the sofa beds were extremely hard and not comfortable.
  I would add more cleaning equipment like : a brom , cleaning spray and cloth, dish washing tablets.
