Honestly, when I first walked up to Noy’z on Alaunstraße, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the name alone had me curious. But you know what? This little 3-star spot in Dresden’s Neustadt totally grew on me, and I can see why it’s pulling an 8.7 rating.

The thing about staying here is you’re right in the thick of things without feeling like you’re camping out in Times Square. Alaunstraße runs through one of those neighborhoods where actual Dresdeners live and hang out, not just tourists stumbling between sights. I mean, step outside and you’ve got proper corner bakeries where the staff actually remembers your order after a couple days, plus that whole stretch of bars and cafes that locals hit up after work. The Kunsthofpassage is literally around the corner – those wild, colorful courtyards that Instagram loves but are genuinely cool in person. And honestly, you can walk to the old town in about fifteen minutes if you’re feeling ambitious, though the tram stop right there makes it even easier.

What struck me about the hotel itself was how they’ve managed to keep things simple without being boring. The rooms aren’t trying to be fancy – you won’t find marble everywhere or those weird designer chairs that look cool but hurt your back. Instead, everything just works. Decent Wi-Fi (actually tested this while video calling home), windows that open properly for fresh air, and beds that don’t leave you wondering if you slept on a park bench. The staff seemed genuinely relaxed, which I always take as a good sign – stressed-out hotel workers usually mean stressed-out guests. Check-in was quick, and when I asked about good spots for dinner that weren’t tourist traps, the guy at the desk actually pulled out his phone to show me photos of this Serbian place two blocks over that ended up being fantastic. Parking can be a bit of a hunt on the street, but there’s a garage nearby if you don’t mind paying a few euros extra. One small thing – the walls aren’t exactly soundproof, so if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs. But honestly, the neighborhood quiets down pretty reasonably at night, and the morning sounds are more “people heading to work” than “construction crews at dawn.” For the price point and that location in Neustadt, it’s a solid pick if you want to experience Dresden like you actually live there for a few days instead of just checking boxes on a sightseeing list.

  Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft, man hat alles was man braucht: Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Bahnhof, Party, Unterhaltung, Sehenswürdigkeiten – alles da, man braucht nur einmal rausgehen.

  Die Lage ist für Nachtschwärmer und Dresden-Erkunder genau richtig. Ein kurzer Weg vom Bahnhof zur Unterkunft, Haltestellen in der Nähe, eine Fahrrad Leihstation um die Ecke. Anbindung super. Direkt vor der Haustür ein großes Angebot von Gastronomie, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Nachtleben. Man ist mitten im Geschehen. Die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr schön, stilvoll eingerichtet, super sauber und es mangelt an nichts, was man für ein paar Tage braucht. Das Bett ist sehr bequem, die Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen und das Bad ist mit moderner Dusche und einer gemütlichen Badewanne ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war zügig, sehr freundlich und es wurde auf persönliche Bedürfnisse eingegangen. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und würde jederzeit wieder buchen. Auch die Bereitgestellten Ohrenstöpsel, die für die Übernachtungen am Wochenende genutzt werden können, sind eine tolle Aufmerksamkeit. Man ist hier in der belebten Neustadt, dass darf man nicht vergessen. Und auch wenn der Eingang unscheinbar alternativ wirkt, so ist der Eintritt in die Wohnung eine ganz andere Welt. Super schick, sauber und mit viel Liebe hergerichtet. Ich bedanke mich für die schönen Tage.
  
  What could be improved: Die Wohnung ist top. Eine Hausnummer für ortsfremde Leute wäre noch eine Sache die es einfacher macht. Ich habe die Wohnung jedoch gleich gefunden. Sonst habe ich nichts negatives zu berichten.
