Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “New Business Apartment Nr.15” on my booking confirmation, I was expecting something pretty sterile and corporate. You know, one of those places that feels like a glorified office space with a bed thrown in. But walking up Lößnitzstraße in Neustadt, I actually got excited. This whole area has this great energy that’s hard to describe – it’s like the artsy younger sibling of Dresden’s old town, with actual locals hanging out at corner cafés instead of just tourists taking selfies.

The apartment itself surprised me in the best way. It’s definitely set up for business travelers (hence the name, I guess), but whoever designed this place actually thought about what people need when they’re away from home for more than a night or two. The kitchen isn’t just for show – I mean, you can actually cook a proper meal, which saved me from eating hotel breakfast every single day. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which honestly matters more than fancy lobby art when you’re trying to get work done. What really got me though was how quiet it stays, even though you’re right in the thick of Neustadt. The windows are good quality, so you get that neighborhood buzz during the day but can actually sleep at night.

The location is where this place really shines, and I don’t just mean “convenient to attractions” – though it absolutely is. You’re a ten-minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof, which sounds boring but actually means you can dump your bags and be exploring within an hour of arriving. But more importantly, you’re surrounded by the kind of spots that make Dresden feel lived-in rather than museum-like. There’s this little bakery two streets over that does incredible stollen (even outside Christmas season), and the whole Outer Neustadt area has these hole-in-the-wall restaurants that locals actually go to. I stumbled into three different art galleries just wandering around after dinner one night. The tram connections are fantastic too – you can be gawking at the Frauenkirche in fifteen minutes, but you can also easily get out to the vineyards along the Elbe when the weather’s nice.

Is it perfect? Well, the building’s got some character – by which I mean the hallway creaks a bit and the elevator is one of those tiny European ones that makes you question your packing choices. But honestly, that just adds to the charm. The 8.6 rating makes total sense to me. It’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it delivers exactly what it promises, and then some. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to feel like you’re actually staying in Dresden rather than some international hotel bubble, this is your spot.

  Die Flexibilität beim Check-In über Schlüsselbox war super angenehm. Sehr gute Erreichbarkeit des Vermieters und sehr gute Kommunikation, beantwortet jede Anfrage angemessen zügig. Außerdem sehr sauber und alles da, was man in einem „Single-Haushalt“ benötigt.

  Excellent small flat/studio near Dresden Neustadt train station reachable within a few minutes walk, same for the city transport. The flat is equipped with everything that is needed: coffee maker, kettle, toaster, stove, refrigerator and so on. A couple of supermarkets are available in the neighborhood, also an organic one with fresh bread daily. The apartment is nice and clean, clearly recently renewed. The check-in is easy and the owner is very friendly and agreed on our requests for the stay. Definitely a valuable choice for our stay in Dresden!
