Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Dresden apartments, and this one on Jüdenhof actually caught me off guard – in the best way possible. You know when you book something online and cross your fingers it won’t be a disaster? This was the opposite of that. The moment I walked up to number 9, I could see the Frauenkirche’s dome practically looming over the courtyard, and I mean *right there* – like you could hit it with a decent paper airplane if you tried.

The apartment itself feels properly modern without being sterile, which honestly is harder to pull off than you’d think. Everything works (shocking, I know), and the space is laid out like someone who actually travels designed it. The windows are these great tall ones that let in tons of light, and if you lean out just right, you get this perfect slice of the church’s reconstruction work – which, by the way, still fascinates me every time I see it. The whole Altstadt area gets pretty touristy during the day, but here’s the thing locals know: evenings in this little corner are surprisingly peaceful. Most day-trippers head back to their tour buses by dinnertime, so you get this lovely quiet settling over the cobblestones.

What really sold me was the practical stuff they got right. The shower has actual water pressure (thank god), there’s enough counter space to spread out your things, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the bed is positioned so you’re not staring directly into a streetlight all night. I’ve learned to check for these things the hard way. Plus, you’re maybe a three-minute walk from some of the best traditional Saxon restaurants, though honestly, the Italian place around the corner on Sporergasse has become my guilty pleasure when I’m too tired to venture far. The whole area sits right in that sweet spot where you can walk to everything worth seeing but still duck back to your own space when the crowds get overwhelming. Check-in was smooth too – none of that awkward standing around wondering if you’re at the right building. I mean, with a 9.7 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after spending time there, I get it completely.

  Location, location, location – it can not be more in the heart of the city. Wonderful view through the windows.
  Extremely spacy and well equipped, parking, breakfast in the hotel nearby. Wonderful place to stay for a family or even to couples (2 big bedrooms, huge living room, terrace).
  Will definitely come once agin to the place.

  The location is perfect, just steps away from Old Town, surrounded by numerous restaurants and cafes. The apartment itself is stunning, very clean, and features a lovely terrace with complimentary Wi-Fi. The communication was excellent, providing us with all necessary information and some great local recommendations. We will definitely return.
