FeWo-Misterek nähe Großer Garten Overview
You know what struck me first about FeWo-Misterek? It’s tucked away on Bodenbacher Straße in this wonderfully quiet corner of Blasewitz that somehow feels both residential and convenient – I mean, you’re literally a ten-minute stroll from Großer Garten, but the street itself has this lovely neighborhood vibe where you’ll see locals walking their dogs and heading to the corner bakery in the morning. The building itself is pretty typical Dresden architecture, nothing flashy, but there’s something reassuring about that. When I arrived (around 3 PM on a Thursday), check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no fancy lobby nonsense, just practical and friendly service that gets you sorted quickly so you can actually start enjoying your stay.
What really won me over was how the place strikes this perfect balance between being close to everything you’d want to see in Dresden without feeling like you’re staying in tourist central. Honestly, I walked to the Großer Garten probably four times during my stay, and each time I discovered something new – whether it was the early morning joggers’ route or that little corner where locals gather with their kids in the afternoon. The tram connections from nearby are actually fantastic (the 4 and 10 lines get you into the Altstadt in maybe 15 minutes), but I found myself walking more than I expected because Blasewitz has this really pleasant, tree-lined character that makes even longer walks feel easy. The apartment itself – well, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect luxury, but everything works properly and it’s clean in that thorough German way. I particularly appreciated the kitchen setup because it meant I could grab fresh stuff from the Saturday market near Schillerplatz and actually cook a proper meal. The windows face a quiet courtyard, which means you’ll sleep well even if you’re sensitive to street noise.
Look, an 8.9 rating doesn’t happen by accident, and after staying here I totally get it. This isn’t the kind of place that tries to impress you with fancy amenities or Instagram-worthy lobbies – instead, it just does the fundamentals really well while putting you in a spot where you can experience Dresden like you’re living here temporarily rather than just passing through. The neighborhood has this authentic feel where you’ll find yourself chatting with the woman at the small grocery store or getting recommendations from the guy at the corner café (his coffee is surprisingly good, by the way). If you’re the type of traveler who wants to feel connected to a place rather than just checking off tourist sites, this works brilliantly. Just keep in mind that it’s more apartment-style accommodation, so you’ll need to be comfortable with a bit more independence – but honestly, that’s part of what makes it feel special.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Dresden through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for experiencing the city’s rich cultural heritage.

Good – Paul from United Kingdom – June 4, 2025 (7/10)

The apartment was clean, good location, close to the tram stop. Near to the center. I missed that there was no hairdryer and shampoo… So if you plan to go, keep that in mind =)
But overall we are satisfied, as for an overnight stay for a short period – great.

Good spacious place. Netflix was a bonus I wasn't expecting.
What could be improved: Only small issue was it was around 5 stops on the tram to the centre of Dresden. If you are prepared for that its fine.
