The apartment itself is pretty straightforward, no bells and whistles, but everything works the way it should. Franziska clearly knows what travelers actually need — decent Wi-Fi (tested it myself, works fine for video calls), a kitchen that’s actually stocked with more than just a single fork, and honestly, really good water pressure in the shower. The whole place has that lived-in feeling without being worn down, if that makes sense. I particularly liked how quiet it gets at night; Blasewitz isn’t exactly a party district, so you can actually sleep with the windows open in summer. The furnishing is what I’d call “German practical” — not Instagram-worthy but comfortable enough that I found myself spending evenings just reading instead of feeling like I had to be out exploring every second.

What really sold me on the location was discovering that little bakery just down the street (can’t remember the exact name, but it’s the one with the blue awning) and realizing the tram stop is closer than it looks on the map — maybe a three-minute walk, tops. The 6 tram line becomes your best friend; it’ll get you to Hauptbahnhof in about fifteen minutes, and you can reach the Frauenkirche area in maybe twenty. Parking was actually easier than I expected for Dresden, though I’d still recommend the tram for getting around. The neighborhood has that nice mix of being genuinely local — there’s a small Rewe nearby, a few cafés where you hear more German than English — but not so off the beaten path that you feel disconnected. I ended up staying an extra day partly because it just felt comfortable, you know? Not luxurious, not trying to impress anyone, just a solid place to base yourself while you explore Dresden properly.

  Die Lage war sehr gut – insbesondere um zu Fuß oder mit dem Rad an die Elbe oder in die Innenstadt zu kommen.
  Wir haben alles vorgefunden, was wir benötigt haben. Das Auto konnten wir auf dem Grundstück parken, die Fahrräder in einem Unterstand abstellen.
  
  What could be improved: Die FeWo ist im ausgebauten Souterrain einer alten Villa. Das Schlafzimmer hat ein Fenster, die Wohnküche eine Doppel-Glastür – trotzdem ist es Innen etwas dunkel und kühl. Wir haben sehr gern den Freisitz vor der Wohnung genutzt.

  Super freundliche Leute. Top Lage – nur ein paar Gehminuten bis zum Bus oder zur Straßenbahn.
  Ruhige Gegend und doch zentral. Alles wichtige ist fußläufig erreichbar. Zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten in Dresden gelangt man schnell durch die gute Anbindung des ÖPNVs.
  Sehr gemütliche Wohnung die vollkommen ausreichend war. Habe dort gut schlafen können.
