DD-Apartment Löbtau 1 Overview
You know what caught me off guard about DD-Apartment Löbtau 1? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet residential street in Cotta – Stollestraße – where you’d never expect to find such a well-run place. I mean, when you first pull up, it doesn’t scream “hotel” at all, which is honestly part of its charm. The whole area feels properly Dresden, if that makes sense – tree-lined streets with those solid German apartment buildings, and you’re close enough to hear the trams rumbling by on Löbtauer Straße without the noise being annoying.
The apartment itself is what I’d call thoughtfully done. Someone clearly spent time getting the details right instead of just throwing together a rental. The kitchen actually has decent knives (you travelers who cook know what I’m talking about), and there’s this lived-in quality without feeling worn down. What really sold me was the shower pressure – honestly fantastic – and the fact that the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes like so many places do. The beds are proper firm, which some people love and others… well, just know that going in. Storage space is generous too, which matters when you’re unpacking for more than a night or two.
Here’s the thing about staying in Cotta that most visitors don’t realize – you’re actually positioned really well. Sure, it’s not Neustadt with all the bars and galleries, but the S-Bahn connection gets you into Dresden’s center in about fifteen minutes, and honestly? After a day of tourist stuff, coming back to this quieter neighborhood feels like a relief. There’s a decent bakery just down the street (the pretzel situation is solid), and if you walk maybe eight minutes toward Löbtauer Straße, you’ll hit a proper supermarket. Parking isn’t the nightmare it can be in other parts of Dresden – there’s usually street parking available, though weekends can get a bit tighter. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward key-juggling or confusing instructions you sometimes get with apartment rentals. I’d definitely come back, especially if I was staying for a week or doing that slower travel thing where you want to feel less like a tourist and more like you’re just… living somewhere for a bit.
Early hotels booking in Dresden requires advance planning during peak cultural seasons when visitors flock to see the city’s remarkable post-war reconstruction and artistic treasures.

Reviews of DD-Apartment Löbtau 1
Very Good – Husain from New Zealand – December 11, 2023 (8/10)
Spacious Room, great location as it is pretty close to tram stop which will take you to the centre. Facilities in the flat. Pretty straightforward check in. Free street parking available
What could be improved: There was coffee but no tea, so I wish tea bags were provided. Also, the shower glass is not big enough for water to not spill but not a deal breaker as you would just need to be a little careful while having shower.Great place to stay when visiting Dresden – Kerstin from Belgium – November 30, 2023 (9/10)
Very easy communication, flexible and friendly host. The apartment was quiet, very warm on cold and snowy days, in a lovely area and close proximity to the centre.
Exceptional – Aneta from Bulgaria – July 17, 2023 (10/10)
Everything was amazing – clean, quiet and cosy

Good communications between Robert and myself via the portal and his accommodation is a smart, stylish apartment on the ground floor of a well-maintained building in a pleasantly genteel suburb of Dresden, about 35-40 minutes walk from the edge of the Altstadt. The kitchen had everything you could think of except for a butter tray and Robert clearly put a lot of thought into the facilities offered including a small selection of playthings for kids, along with some cutlery and crockery just for them. The sofa doubled up to make a decent enough bed, provided you put a couple of quilts on to sleep on, and slept under a third. Bathroom was clean, shower was powerful, the WiFi was quick and very easy to access. We didn't get a chance to use it, but the little outside table in the garden was beautifully framed when considering the autumn conditions and the falling leaves around it. A lovely little touch, we never got around to using it.
Bünaustrasse tram stop is only a few minutes away on foot for those wanting to get to the Altstadt quicker and there's an Aldi and a Lidl around 15 minutes away on foot.
What could be improved: Sofa bed might need renewing soon as it was certainly very hard, but as said, putting two quilts down on it beforehand did resolve the problem. Everything else was fine. This is the perfect apartment for a family with young children. We enjoy our stay so much! – Jittrarat from Thailand – September 28, 2022 (9/10)
This is the perfect apartment for a family with small children. There are plenty of toys and all necessary items your baby would need. The host really pays attention to details which is very impressive. The apartment is located on the first floor with an access to a small garden with outdoor seating, we love it. The location is good, Five mins walk to the tram station which will take you only stations to the city center.
What could be improved: We love everything and really enjoy our stay!short and sweet – Alina from United Arab Emirates – August 29, 2022 (10/10)
