Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a place with such a long German name, but CoView turned out to be one of those hidden gems that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special in Dresden’s Neustadt district. The apartment sits on Bautzner Straße – which, if you know the area, puts you right in the sweet spot between the bustling Hauptstraße nightlife and the quieter residential streets where actual Dresdeners live.

What really struck me was how thoughtfully designed this place is. I mean, you walk up to your own private entrance (no awkward hotel lobby small talk required) and immediately notice the attention to detail. The kitchen isn’t just “fully equipped” in that sad hotel way with two bent spoons and a microwave – it’s actually set up like someone who cooks lives there. Good knives, proper pans, even decent coffee gear. The terrace became my morning ritual spot; it faces away from the street noise, so you get this surprisingly peaceful moment with your coffee while the city wakes up around you. The wifi situation is legitimately excellent too – I was working remotely and never had a hiccup, which honestly can’t be said for half the “business hotels” I’ve stayed at.

Location-wise, you’re about a ten-minute walk from the Goldener Reiter statue and maybe fifteen from the Old Town bridges, but here’s what the guidebooks don’t tell you: you’re also two blocks from some of the best local spots that tourists never find. There’s this little bakery around the corner that does incredible Streuselkuchen, and the neighborhood has that lived-in feel where you’ll hear German conversations on the street instead of tour groups. The building itself is quiet – I was worried about street noise since Bautzner can get busy, but the apartment is positioned well and the windows actually work. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving (street parking requires some patience), but honestly, once you’re settled in, everything you need is walkable. The 9.7 rating makes total sense when you experience it – it’s one of those places where someone clearly thought about what travelers actually want rather than just checking boxes on an amenities list. You know what I mean? It just works in a way that feels effortless, even though you can tell there’s real care behind every detail.

  Die Lage ist ideal zur Altstadtbesichtigung und abends zum Ausgehen in der Äußeren Neustadt. Gute Bäckerei direkt ums Eck. Kostenloses Parken ist östlich der Forststraße möglich (15 min zu Fuß). Die Wohnung ist super ausgestattet und gemütlich und durch die Lage im Hinterhof extrem ruhig. Be- und Entladen gut möglich.
