I mean, it’s city living – if you want complete silence, you probably shouldn’t be staying in Dresden anyway.

What really sold me on this place was the location, though not in the way you’d expect. Sure, you’re about a 15-minute tram ride from the Altstadt (take the 13 line – it’s super easy), but Pieschen has this authentic, lived-in feel that I actually preferred after a few days of tourist-heavy sightseeing. There’s a great bakery just two blocks down that opens ridiculously early, and the Turkish place around the corner makes döner that puts the touristy spots near Frauenkirche to shame. Plus, parking here is actually possible and affordable – try finding that in the Old Town. The building’s entrance is nothing fancy, just a simple door with the apartment number, but check-in was smooth and the host responded quickly to my questions. For a 3-star spot with a 7.1 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. If you’re the type who needs marble bathrooms and daily housekeeping, this isn’t your place. But if you want a clean, functional base to explore Dresden without paying Old Town prices, and you don’t mind being in a neighborhood where you’ll hear more German than English, it’s actually a pretty smart choice.

  A great place to stay in Dresden for a few days and go sightseeing. Many shops and restaurants nearby, close to the city center and great public transport. The apartament was clean and spacy, when we come back to Dresden, we will stay there once again.
  
  What could be improved: When you come by car, you have to park at the street – that is paid between Monday and Friday (we were staying during weekend, so the parking was free of charge).
  Besides, small things that weren't disturbing for us – the TV had only ZDF1 VOD working – no TV channels or other apps were available during our stay.
  As the other mentioned – the apartment is located at the ground floor at a some kind of shop/office outbuilding. Trams were running the whole night, but it wasn't that loud for us. The thing that can be a problem is the fact that you need to have your windows covered, because everybody can see your main room from the street.

  What could be improved: Tram on the street running every 20min 24/7. It’s literally 5m away from bed you sleep. Host russian arrogant and non speaking English family. If I knew that they are ruZZians I would never stayed there.

  Great location, cute silent street with cozy yard. enough linen and towels, kitchen facilities, hot water.
  All you need for 1-2 nights.
  
  What could be improved: Really loud tram, it goes all night, the window view is right on the street , everyone can see you inside. It was very cold in the room (there was heater to help with it but it helped not at once).
  Check-in process is not very clear: it is not very comfortable to call host for check-in.

  Esgibt in der Wohnung alles was man braucht. die Lage ist auch sehr gut, man kommt innerhalb von 15 Minuten zum Altmarkt mit der Tram. Check-in, check-out wunderbar, die Gastgeber sehr nett. wir haben aus Versehen für 3 gebucht, waren aber zu 4 da und es war kein Problem.

  What could be improved: Die Fußbodenheizung hat leider nicht funktioniert, es war somit unfassbar kalt in der Nacht. In der kalten Jahreszeit ist es echt wichtig.
  da wir erst gegen 23 Uhr in die Unterkunft zurück gekehrt sind, wollten wir die Gastgeber nicht mehr wecken. also checkt die Heizung vorher.
