The Benville Dresden sits in this unassuming spot that’s actually pretty clever when you think about it. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Großer Garten – and I mean the real entrance, not some side gate where you have to trek forever to see anything good. That park is massive, by the way, perfect for morning runs or just sprawling out with a book when the weather’s decent. The tram connections are surprisingly solid too; you can hop on the 1 or 2 line and be in the historic center in maybe twenty minutes without dealing with parking headaches (trust me, don’t even try to drive into the old town unless you enjoy paying through the nose for tiny parking spots).

What struck me about this place is how they’ve managed to keep things genuinely modern without that sterile, corporate hotel feel. The WiFi actually works – I know, revolutionary concept – and the rooms have this clean, minimalist vibe that doesn’t feel like they’re trying too hard. It’s more like staying in a really well-designed apartment than a traditional hotel room. The souterrain setup might sound weird if you’re not used to European buildings, but it’s surprisingly cozy and stays cool in summer. Plus, honestly, the street is quiet enough that being slightly below ground level just means you sleep better. I barely heard any traffic, which is saying something since I’m usually the person complaining about noise.

The 9.3 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s one of those places where everything just works without any drama. Check-in was smooth, the space was exactly as advertised, and they clearly put thought into the little details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The location might not scream “tourist hotspot,” but that’s kind of the point. You get to feel like you’re experiencing Dresden more like a local, grabbing groceries at the neighborhood shops, taking evening walks through residential streets that most visitors never see. And when you do want to hit the major sights, you’re still connected to everything – just without paying premium prices for being literally next to the Semperoper.

  Die Ausstattung und zentrale Lage (Haltepunkt Strehlen, 2 qkm Großer Garten mit Zoo) der Ferienwohnung sind sehr gut. Alles war sehr sauber. Fragen wurden umgehend beantwortet.

  We liked the location(close to train station and bus station , although the latter was temporary closed due to road works). Beautiful neighbourhood, all the buildings were really nice looking old architecture , pleasure to look at. The backyard was really nice and had a rest area with a small pond. There are several bakeries nearby, great to get fresh bread and pastries every day. The apartment was spacious, the rooms were big enough to ride a bicycle (joke). It was really convenient having 2 bathrooms. The kitchen was fully equipped, would be great to add some dish drying towels.
  
  What could be improved: During the day it was cold in the apartment even with the setting of the heating on max. At night the temperature was higher.
  Not properly cleaned (dirty appliances inside oven, spiders in the bathroom, and a sock from previous guests near the washing machine).
  Only 4 coffee capsules for 4 people staying 4 nights.
  Empty toiletries bottle, luckily we had our own shampoo and shower gel with us.

  Wunderschöne super saubere Wohnung mit Fußbodenheizung, zentral gelegen. Ein Katzensprung zur Bus- und Bahnstation.
  
  What could be improved: Da es eine „Kellerwohnung“ ist, ist im Schlafzimmer ein großer Schimmelfleck an der Wand. Es riecht aber überhaupt nicht nach Feuchtigkeit.

  Es handelt sich hier um eine Souterrainwohnung in einem ruhigen Stadtteil von Dresden. Parkplätze stehen auf der Straße davor zur Verfügung. Die Straßenbahnhaltestelle ist maximal 200 m entfernt, trotzdem ist es sehr ruhig. In der Küche stand alles, was man braucht. Sehr angenehm war der vorhandene Kaffee und Tee.
  
  What could be improved: Fliegengitter vor den Fenstern wären schön, da es doch einige Mücken gab. Sonst nichts 🙂

  Przestronny apartament, bardzo czysty, wszystko w nim jest – od wanny/prysznica, przez ekspres do kawy, po ręczniki, papier toaletowy, kostki do zmywarki. Piękna dzielnica willowa, obok dużego parku i przystanku tramwajowego, z którego liniami 9 i 13 można łatwo dojechać do Starego i Nowego Miasta.
  
  What could be improved: Mały minus to telewizor z dekoderem, które są trudne w obsłudze. Nie byliśmy w stanie dostać się do YouTube, żeby puścić dzieciom bajki, ale na szczęście mieliśmy ze sobą laptopa (wifi działało bez zarzutu).
