I mean, when you first pull up to Dohnaer Straße, you’re thinking this is pretty residential and quiet, which honestly? That’s exactly what you want after a day of tramping around Dresden’s tourist spots. The Prohlis neighborhood isn’t where most visitors end up, but that actually works in your favor because you get a real slice of how locals live without sacrificing convenience.

The apartments themselves are solid – nothing fancy, but everything works and you’ve got proper space to spread out. What I really appreciated was having an actual kitchen situation, not just some sad mini-fridge and coffee maker setup. You know what’s great about that? There’s a decent grocery store about a ten-minute walk away, and after you’ve blown your budget on all those museum entries in the Altstadt, cooking a few meals starts looking pretty smart. The 7.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to wow you with marble bathrooms or whatever, but the fundamentals are there and the price point is reasonable for what you get.

Location-wise, you’re maybe twenty minutes by tram to get into the historic center, and honestly the tram connections from this area are pretty reliable. I found the neighborhood surprisingly walkable too – there’s this nice stretch along Dohnaer Straße where you can grab coffee or pick up essentials without feeling like you’re stuck in some tourist bubble. The area gets genuinely quiet at night (your jet-lagged self will thank you), but it’s not dead-zone quiet, if that makes sense. During the day you hear normal neighborhood sounds – people heading to work, kids playing, that sort of thing. One small heads up though – if you’re someone who needs to be right in the thick of nightlife, you’ll want to plan your evenings accordingly since getting back late means either a taxi or checking those last tram times. But for most people, especially if you’re doing the whole Dresden experience over a few days, having this kind of peaceful base actually lets you recharge properly between all the sightseeing.

  Apartmán byl v dobré oblasti. Ačkoliv to nebylo zcela v centru, byl v dobré dojezdové vzdálenosti kamkoliv jsme potřebovali. Též obchod nebyl daleko. Ačkoliv jsme nebyli daleko od hlavní silnice, hluk z ulice nebyl vůbec slyšet.
  Pokoj byl nejvyšším patře, bez výtahu. Velmi prostorný, postele pohodlné a velmi měkké. Skoro až moc měkké. 😀 Koupelna byla velká a čistá.
  Check-in byl zcela samostatný a bezkontaktní.
  
  What could be improved: Komunikace s hostitelem nebyla zcela dokonalá. Při příchodu jsme si nebyli extra jistí, kam vlastně máme jít. Na zprávy a telefonáty hostitel odpovídal ale skoro okamžitě.
  U vybavení pokoje jsme se chvílemi obávali, abychom něco nerozbili. Skříně například nebyly zcela stabilní. Topení prvně netopilo, po telefonátu s panem majitelem se ale problém vyřešil.
  Wifi/WLAN nebyla velmi dobrá. Signál byl slabý a vypadával.
  Kuchyňka byla poměrně malá, ale pro dvě osoby zcela dostačující. Nenechávali jsme ale jídlo moc venku, neboť ve skříňce v kuchyni byl nalepený lístek proti molům (jídelní mol). Jeden den se nám také v pokoji objevili malí mravenci.

  Неплохая тихая квартира. Ключи расположены возле входной двери в сейфе. Удобное расположение. Возможно припарковать авто возле дома. Рядом с домом есть магазины, небольшие кафе.

  Плохое обеспечение туалетными принадлежностями.
  Проблемы с интернетом при подключении, низкая скорость интернета.
