It’s one of those spots that even locals treat as a bit of an escape from the city center bustle.

Charlotte (the actual owner, not just a cute name) runs this place like she’s hosting relatives she actually likes. The guesthouse occupies this beautiful old villa – the kind with those tall windows and detailed moldings that somehow survived everything Dresden’s been through. What really got me was how she’s managed to keep it feeling like a home while still being properly professional. The rooms have this perfect balance of antique furniture that doesn’t creak and modern touches that actually work. I stayed in the corner room facing the garden, and honestly, waking up to birds instead of trams was worth the slightly longer walk into town. The bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that didn’t disappoint – you know how hotel showers can be hit or miss.

The location is actually brilliant once you figure it out. Sure, you’re not stumbling out your door onto Neumarkt, but the 11 tram line runs right down the hill and gets you to the Old Town in maybe fifteen minutes. Plus – and this is huge if you’re driving – parking is never an issue up here. I watched people circle blocks downtown looking for spots while I’m just pulling into Charlotte’s little courtyard without a care in the world. The neighborhood itself has this almost spa-town vibe (there’s actually a historic sanatorium nearby that’s now fancy apartments), with tree-lined streets and these glimpses of the Elbe valley that’ll make you stop mid-conversation. In the evenings, it gets properly quiet – the kind of quiet where you can hear yourself think after a day of sightseeing. Charlotte mentioned that a lot of her guests end up extending their stays because they get addicted to having this peaceful base while still being close enough to everything that matters in Dresden. I totally get it – there’s something pretty perfect about taking the tram down for your dose of Baroque architecture and museum-hopping, then coming back up the hill to somewhere that feels like a secret.

  Sehr nette und aufmerksame Gastgeber, Zimmer und Bad zweckmäßig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber. Angenehm ruhige Lage in einer Seitenstraße, tolle Anbindung an den ÖPNV. War ein schöner Aufenthalt.

  Тихий и живописный район на окраине Дрездена. Апартамент находится в мансарде, лестница немного крутая, людям, у которых проблемы с ногами, нужно быть к этому готовым.
  Комната небольшая, но очень уютная. Много книг, рассказывающих об истории Дрездена. Есть всё необходимое и даже немного больше . Шкаф, комод, тумбочки – всё, куда можно убрать и дорожные сумки и всякие мелкие вещи. Кровати удобные, большая и просторная ванная комната.
  Машину можно оставить прямо у дома.
  До центра не очень близко, но если вы на машине, то минут за 15 или чуть меньше можно добраться до центра города, а в Centrum Galerie есть большой крытый недорогой паркинг. За первый час цена 2,5 евро, каждый следующий – 2 евро.
  Вцелом, всё было отлично. Думаю, что вернёмся.

  La casa è molto carina in un quartiere periferico tranquillo un pò lontano da Dresda. Si può dire di soggiornare in mezzo alla natura. La stanza in mansarda non è molto grande ma è resa accogliente ed è dotata di molti comfort. E' presente un angolo cottura completo, dotato di piastre elettriche e di bollitore che ci ha permesso di preparare la colazione. C'è anche un piccolo frigorifero/freezer privato che è stato molto utile. Il bagno è molto spazioso e pulito. Ottima la pulizia anche della camera e di tutta la casa. Il parcheggio è gratuito di fronte la casa.
  La Signora è stata un'ottima padrona di casa, discreta, molto gentile e disponibile a risolverci un problema. Importante prendere accordi per il check-in perché non abita lì e viene apposta per lasciarvi le chiavi.
  Poco distante dalla casa c'è un tram che in 20 minuti porta in centro. Noi siamo stati sfortunati che a causa di lavori stradali la linea del tram era stata sostituita da un bus che ci mette 40 minuti. Abbiamo scelto di raggiungere il centro con l'automobile in 15 minuti e di pagare il parcheggio. Vicino l'Altstadt oltre a numerosi parcheggi coperti (più costosi) ce ne sono un paio scoperti (Parking space Pirnaischer e Parkplatz Schießgasse) con tariffa giornaliera di 12€.

  Angenehme Umgebung, sehr ruhig. Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück neben der Haustür. Gute Erreichbarkeit. Geräumiges helles Badezimmer. Eigene Dachetage. Wohnliches Schlafzimmer mit Tisch und Stühlen. Kleine Küchenzeile mit Geschirr etc. Kühlschrank separat auf dem Vorflur, somit keine Kompressorgeräusche im Zimmer. Außenjalosie gegen die Sonneneinstahlung, Veluxfenster mit Verdunklung. Lidl-Geschäft ganz in der Nähe.
