You’re right in Neustadt, which means you can walk to that amazing Saturday market at Hauptstraße in about three minutes, and the whole artsy quarter with its quirky cafes and vintage shops is literally at your doorstep. I mean, there’s this little bakery around the corner that I stumbled onto during my morning runs – the kind of place where locals grab their coffee and you’d never find in a guidebook. The apartment itself surprised me with how spacious it felt, and honestly, after staying in so many cookie-cutter hotels, there was something refreshing about having actual character in the space. The furnishings aren’t trying too hard to be trendy, they’re just… comfortable and thoughtful. You can tell someone actually lives in Dresden and knows what works.

What really sealed it for me was the practical stuff that most places somehow mess up. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the entire space (I tested it because I’m paranoid about these things), the kitchen has everything you’d need if you want to grab groceries from the Rewe down the street, and the shower pressure – well, let’s just say it’s better than half the four-star places I’ve stayed in. The building itself is pretty quiet, though you’ll hear some street noise during the day since Louisenstraße gets a bit of foot traffic, but it dies down completely by evening. I actually liked hearing a little bit of city life – it reminded me I was in the middle of something real, not some sterile tourist bubble. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving, but honestly, you won’t need a car here anyway. The trams run constantly, and if you’re feeling energetic, it’s only about a twenty-minute walk across the Augustus Bridge to get to the Old Town and all the major sights.

The 9.1 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Dresden, but it nails all the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. Clean, comfortable, well-located, and run by people who seem to understand that sometimes you want to feel like you’re living somewhere, not just passing through.

  Die sehr schöne, top sanierte Altbauwohnung hat eine tolle Lage (mitten in der Neustadt, trotzdem ruhig, mehrere Tramlinien und Bahnhof Dresden Neustadt sowie kostenfreie Parkplätze in der Nähe). Außerdem hat uns neben der komfortablen Ausstattung und der geschmackvollen Einrichtung mit vielen schönen Details besonders auch die Gestaltung aller Wände mit vielen Originalmalereien und Fotos gefallen. Wir würden jederzeit gern wiederkommen.

  The Location was in more of a "locals" area and away from the normal tourist trap areas. Which we really loved. Anne, the host, was absolutely lovely and we enjoyed meeting her. She was flexible on timing and even though our original schedule changed she came and met with us and walked us through things.
  It was a reasonable walk to the city centre but easily done. Overall we thought our stay was… Excellent… we would have loved to have stayed longer. Actually, we will book here again if given the chance.
  
  What could be improved: Over all we really enjoyed our stay. The only thing we would have liked were: better pillows and that's a maybe. We would have loved a "Nespresso" machine for our coffee pods but there was coffee supplied so, no complaints. Besides, there's a really cool cafe about 30 metres away.

  Lokatie. Een echte alternatieve wijk vol met 60 er jaren figuren. Overal barretjes en eettenten. Centrum goed bereikbaar met tram.
  
  What could be improved: Overal een overdaad aan graffiti. Alles maar dan ook alles was ondergekalkt.

  Super Lage, direkt in der Neustadt.
  Die Wohnung ist schön groß, gut ausgestattet und man ist dank Öffis auch schnell in der Altstadt.

  Wir waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden mit dem Apartment. Die Lage ist perfekt für eine Städtetour. Kurzer Weg zur Straßenbahn und viele schöne Lokalitäten für Frühstück oder Abendessen in der unmittelbaren Nähe.
  
  What could be improved: Aufgrund der starken Nachfrage an unserem gewählten Wochenende war der Preis pro Nacht sehr hoch.
  Aufgrund der zentralen Lage kann es Nachts oder am frühen Morgen zu Lärm auf der Straße kommen, den man aber durch Schließen der Fenster deutlich eindämmen kann.

  Very nice apartment on the top floor, featuring a modern finish, yet keeping a touch of the past. Excellent location in a quiet part of a street, but still just two blocks away from the bustling Neustadt center.
