You know what struck me first about this place? It’s literally *in* the heart of Dresden’s old town – I mean, you step out the door on Freiberger Straße and you’re basically surrounded by centuries of history, but it doesn’t feel like you’re staying in some touristy bubble. The building itself has that solid German apartment feel, which honestly makes way more sense than a traditional hotel when you’re planning to actually explore Dresden properly.

The apartment setup is pretty brilliant if you ask me. You get proper living space instead of being crammed into a hotel room, and there’s something really satisfying about making coffee in an actual kitchen while looking out at cobblestone streets. The furnishing is clean and practical – nothing fancy, but everything works, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed. What really won me over was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re right in the center of everything. I was worried about noise from the Neumarkt area (it gets pretty lively on weekends), but the windows do their job well.

Location-wise, this is about as good as it gets without paying luxury hotel prices. You’re maybe a three-minute walk to the Frauenkirche, and the Zwinger is right there too – I actually found myself popping back to the apartment between sightseeing sessions, which you can’t really do when you’re staying out in the newer districts. The tram connections from nearby are excellent if you want to venture beyond the Altstadt, and there’s a decent grocery store just around the corner on Wilsdruffer Straße. Parking can be tricky (well, it’s Dresden’s old town, so that’s expected), but they’ll give you proper directions when you book. The whole experience feels less like staying at a hotel and more like borrowing a local friend’s place – which, given that 9-star rating, seems to be exactly what most people are looking for when they visit Dresden.

  Sehr sauberes und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Lage ist perfekt um die Stadt zu erkunden. Alles in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.

  Nett eingerichtetes Apartment in sehr guter Lage. Fußläufig ist alles Wichtige gut zu erreichen. Die Räumlichkeiten sind hell und freundlich und der Balkon ist ein kleines Highlight. Die Gastgeberin antwortete schnell und gab uns alle wichtigen Informationen.
  
  What could be improved: Leider ließ die Sauberkeit zu wünschen übrig. Unter dem Bett war es sehr staubig, obwohl es gut zugänglich ist. Der Fliesenspiegel in der Küche war deutlich mit Fett und Tomatensauce vom Vorgänger beschmiert und die Küchenutensilien waren ebenfalls nicht ganz sauber. Außerdem scheinen die Fenster schlecht schallisoloiert zu sein, die Straße war deutlich hörbar, obwohl diese nicht stark befahren ist.
