Okay, so first things first – don’t let the German name intimidate you. “Traumtor” literally means “dream gate,” and honestly? They’re not overselling it. This place sits right on Kauschaer Straße in Dresden’s Prohlis district, and while Prohlis might not ring any bells if you’re not familiar with Dresden, it’s actually perfect for what this property offers. You’re far enough from the tourist crowds in Altstadt but close enough that you can still hit the Christmas markets or Frauenkirche when you want to.

What really got me was stepping onto any of those three terraces – and I mean, they really do have three of them, each catching different light throughout the day. The view stretches right into the Bohemian-Saxon Switzerland region, which is this incredible rock formation area that straddles the German-Czech border. On clear mornings (and you’ll want to wake up early for this), you can actually make out the Bastei Bridge in the distance. The whole setup feels more like a luxury mountain retreat than anything you’d expect to find in a city apartment. The sauna’s tucked away perfectly – not too big, not too small, just right for two people to actually relax without feeling cramped. And that whirlpool? Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places that promise hot tubs and deliver glorified bathtubs, but this one’s the real deal.

The fireplace becomes the heart of the place once evening hits, especially if you’re visiting during the cooler months. There’s something about having 205 square meters to spread out in – you can actually have a conversation by the fire while someone else is soaking in the whirlpool without feeling like you’re on top of each other. The whole space flows really naturally, which isn’t always a given with larger vacation rentals. Parking’s straightforward (huge plus in Dresden), and the check-in process was refreshingly simple. You know what surprised me most though? How quiet it stays, even though you’re not exactly in the middle of nowhere. The 9.8 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s one of those places where every detail just works. If you’re planning to explore Saxon Switzerland National Park, this is honestly the perfect base camp, but it’s also the kind of place where you might find yourself canceling day plans just to enjoy another morning on the terrace with coffee.

  Bei der Ankunft haben wir den Schlüssel in der Schlüsselbox vorgefunden, man parkt mit einem PKW direkt vor dem Eingang der Wohnung. Die Wohnung ist modern, groß und super ausgestattet. Von den Terrassen hat man einen wunderbaren Ausblick. Die Badezimmer sind wirklich besonders, Whirlpool und Saune, tolle Duschen. Die Bushaltestelle für den Bus in die Innenstadt ist ca. 3 Gehminuten entfernt, die Fahrtzeit bis ins Zentrum beträgt gut 30 Minuten.

  Die riesige und komfortable Wohnung ist sehr hell und lichtdurchfluteten. Schon beim betreten der Wohnung fühlt man sich wie Caesar. Die Villa Dr. Kupfer ist mit allem ausgestattet was man sich vorstellen kann, voll ausgestattete Küche incl., allen Geräten vom Mixer über Backofen, Froster, 4P Toaster.
  
  Esstische und Sitzmöglichkeiten für viele andere Varianten egal ob in der Küche, Wohnzimmer oder auf den Balkonen.
  
  Abends gibt es viele verschiedene Möglichkeiten für Licht und Stimmung zu sorgen, beinahe alle Lampen sind dimmbar über den Taster von Hell bis romantisch.
  
  In der oberen Etagen sind sehr komfortabel, bequeme Schlafzimmer, die Betten sind bequem und es lässt sich erholsam schlafen.
  Auch das daneben liegende Badezimmer mit Dusche, Sauna und Whirlpool ist zum wohlfühlen .
  
  Um das Auto muss man sich auch keine Sorgen machen, es steht sicher im Hof.
  
  Die Umgebung ist ruhig, mit einem angenehmen Panorama zwischen Fernseherturm und Bastei( sächsische Schweiz)

  The house had all accommodations in place, everything seemed new and cosy. the owner also decorated the place (with Xmas tree!) for the Xmas period and added a welcome gift. The sauna, jacuzzi and fireplace made it perfect place for a perfect place.
