The apartment itself is genuinely roomy – and I say that as someone who’s stayed in way too many European “apartments” that turned out to be glorified closets. You’ll actually have space to spread out here, which is refreshing. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel, you know? There’s something really comfortable about having a proper kitchen and living area, especially if you’re planning to stay more than a night or two. The décor is… well, it’s not going to win any design awards, but it’s clean and functional, and honestly, that’s what you want when you’re exploring Dresden all day anyway.

What I really love about this spot is how it sits in Neustadt – people call it the “new town” but it’s actually the artsy, slightly grittier side of Dresden that locals prefer. You’re a quick walk from Hauptstraße, where you’ll find these great little bars and restaurants that don’t cater to tour groups. Plus, crossing over to the old town and all the famous sights is just a pleasant stroll across the Elbe – maybe fifteen minutes if you walk slowly and stop to take photos from the bridge. The tram connections are solid too, though honestly, you probably won’t need them much since everything interesting is walkable from here.

I should mention that this is a 3-star place with an 8.3 rating, which feels about right – it’s not luxury, but it delivers on what it promises. The check-in process can be a bit… European (meaning you might need to coordinate timing), and street parking can get tight in the evenings when locals come home from work. But the neighborhood is pretty quiet at night, which surprised me given how lively it gets during the day.

Actually, one of my favorite things was just wandering around the surrounding streets in the morning – there’s this great bakery about two blocks away, and you’ll stumble across these little courtyards and street art that you’d never see if you were staying in some sterile hotel near the tourist areas. The whole Neustadt district has this creative energy that feels authentic rather than manufactured for visitors. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to get a real sense of how Dresden actually lives and breathes beyond the postcard shots, this apartment puts you right where you need to be.

  What could be improved: • Ventilation: Dålig ventilation i lägenheten, vilket gjorde att vi var tvungna att ha fönstren öppna hela natten.
  • Ljudnivå: Hög ljudnivå, särskilt nattetid, vilket påverkade sömnkvaliteten.
  • Sovrum: Det finns inget separat sovrum. En dubbelsäng är placerad i vardagsrummet och två dubbelsängar är placerade i ett stort rum på andra våningen.
  • Tillgänglighet: Lägenheten ligger på tredje våningen i byggnaden och det finns ingen hiss, vilket kan vara besvärligt för vissa gäster.

  Sehr Modern Ferienwohnung, Top Ausgestattet. In der direkten Umgebung gibt es jede Menge Cafés und Restaurants. Alles Fußläufig oder mit der Straßenbahn zu erreichen. 15min zu Fuß bis zur Altstadt. Wir können es Absolut empfehlen

  Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt in dieser modernen und stilvollen Ferienwohnung. Die Lage mitten in der Dresdner Neustadt ist perfekt – viele Cafés, Bars und Läden direkt um die Ecke, die Altstadt ist schnell erreichbar.
  
  Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, großzügig geschnitten und bestens ausgestattet. Besonders gefallen haben uns der gemütliche Wohnbereich und die voll ausgestattete Küche.
