Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Dresden over the years, but Villa via Lapis honestly surprised me – and I mean that in the best way. The name’s a bit of a mouthful (actually, it sort of undersells what you’re getting), but once you wind your way up to 1.Steinweg in the Loschwitz area, you’ll understand why they threw “Panoramablick” right there in the title. The view over Dresden from this spot is absolutely worth the trek up from the city center.

The villa itself has that solid German elegance thing going on – you know, where everything’s built to last but doesn’t feel stuffy. What really got me was stepping out onto the terrace in the morning with coffee and just… wow. You’re looking down at the Elbe snaking through Dresden, the old town spreading out like a postcard, but it’s not touristy-fake panoramic – it’s the real deal that locals probably don’t even appreciate anymore. The pool area is where I ended up spending way too much time (heated, thankfully, because even in summer those Saxon evenings can get crisp), and the sauna was perfect after walking around Dresden’s cobblestones all day. I mean, my feet were killing me, and twenty minutes in there fixed everything.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me: parking’s actually pretty straightforward, which is rare for this part of Dresden, and you’re close enough to the Blaues Wunder bridge that you can walk down to catch the historic steamboats if that’s your thing. The whole Loschwitz district is quieter than staying right in Neustadt or Altstadt – no stumbling tourists at 2am, but you’re still only about fifteen minutes by tram to all the major sights. The rooms themselves are spacious (German hotels can be hit-or-miss on this), and honestly, the beds were some of the most comfortable I’ve encountered. Small thing, but the bathroom products were actually decent quality – not the usual hotel soap that leaves your skin feeling weird. Check-in was smooth, staff spoke excellent English, and they genuinely seemed to care about whether you enjoyed your stay rather than just going through the motions. Only minor gripe? The WiFi was a bit spotty in some corners, but frankly, with that view and the pool, I wasn’t exactly glued to my laptop anyway.

  Die Lage ist ein Traum, das ganze Apartment (Sofia) großartig. Das Schlafzimmer ist rund und bietet einen unverrbauten Blick auf Dresden. Frühstück gibt es nicht. Wir haben uns in der Küche selber versorgt. Wussten das aber vorher.
  Wir waren vollkommen überwältigt von der Unterkunft. Es gibt einen Außenpool. Ich habe ihn reichlich genutzt. Die Wasserqualität ist sehr angenehm, die Temperatur war, der Jahreszeit entsprechend bei ca 10 Grad. Aber in kaltem Wasser schwimmen empfinde ich als Lebenselixier.

  Wir hatten ein tolles Appartement mit Zugang zum Garten/Terasse und einen wunderbaren Ausblick auf Dresden. Das Haus war wunderschön. Schon die Einfahrt durch das Tor und die Zufahrt war nobel:-) Wir haben auch die Sauna und den riesigen Aufenthaltsraum genutzt. Man fühlte sich wie zu Hause. Danke nochmal an unsere liebe Gastgeberin, die uns sehr herzlich empfangen hat. Wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt.

  Der persönliche Empfang in der Apartmentanlage war sehr angenehm. Unser Apartment (Erdgeschoss) war modern und neuwertig eingerichtet, sehr gepflegt und bot den angekündigte Ausblick über Dresden. Das Gebäude liegt sehr ruhig auf einem großen, bewaldeten Hanggrundstück. Angenehm bei sommerlichen Temperaturen der direkte Zugang aus dem Apartment heraus zu einer grünen Gartenterrasse. Sehr praktisch die Parkmöglichkeit auf dem Gelände. Wir nutzten das Apartment als Ausgangspunkt für die touristische Erkundung von Dresden und Umgebung und würden jederzeit wieder gerne hier unterkommen.

  De ruimte, zwembad, wasmachine aanwezig. Het is van alle gemakken voorzien en zeer compleet. Je hebt ook een eigen privé plekje om buiten te zitten. Lieve gastvrouw.

  Persönlich hätte ich auf den Teppich unter dem Bett verzichten können aber ich weiß auch, dass viele Gäste einen Teppich bevorzugen.
