I mean, Plauen isn’t exactly the tourist hotspot of Dresden, but that’s sort of the point. You’re living like people actually live here, walking to the local bakery instead of fighting crowds at some overpriced café near the Frauenkirche.

What really sold me on this place was the small stuff that shows someone’s actually thinking about guests as real people. The shower has proper water pressure (you’d be amazed how rare this is in older German buildings), there’s a decent coffee setup that doesn’t involve those terrible pod machines, and – this might sound weird – but the wifi actually works in every room. The whole setup feels thoughtful without being fussy. Plus, you’re maybe fifteen minutes by tram to Dresden’s main attractions, but you can also just walk down to the Plauenscher Grund if you want to escape the city entirely. It’s one of those locations where you feel connected to actual Dresden life rather than just passing through it. The only minor thing I’d mention is that check-in requires a bit of coordination since it’s not a traditional hotel front desk situation, but the communication was solid and honestly, it’s worth the extra five minutes of planning for what you get.

  Frieda ist ein sehr gutes Apartment. Zur Innenstadt fährt man fünf Busstationen, Haltestelle ist nah. Tagesticket Juli 2023 : 8 euro. Supermarkt direkt um die Ecke.
