The location is honestly fantastic — you’re right on Dr.-Külz-Ring in Dresden‘s Altstadt, which means you can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing. I mean, the Frauenkirche is literally a five-minute stroll, and you can see the Semperoper from some of the upper floors. What I really appreciated was how easy it was to get back to the hotel after long days of sightseeing — no complicated tram rides or confusing street layouts to navigate. The couples’ rating of 9.5 for location makes total sense when you realize you can walk to dinner along the Elbe and still be back in your room within minutes.

The Room Experience

The rooms are exactly what you’d expect from Premier Inn — comfortable beds (seriously, they know what they’re doing with mattresses), decent-sized bathrooms, and everything works properly. Nothing fancy, but after walking around Dresden’s cobblestone streets all day, you’ll appreciate the air conditioning and blackout curtains. The rooms facing the ring road can get a bit noisy during the day, but it quiets down nicely in the evenings. There’s a good workspace if you need to catch up on emails, and the WiFi actually works reliably throughout the building.

The breakfast setup surprised me in a good way — they’ve got the full English option alongside continental choices and a proper buffet spread. You know what I really liked? They had local German breads and cold cuts mixed in with the standard Premier Inn offerings, which felt like a nice nod to being in Dresden rather than just dropping a British hotel into Germany. The restaurant area gets busy around 8 AM, so either go early or be prepared to wait a few minutes for a table near the windows.

  The location was perfect, the staff was super friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfy and clean, the water pressure in the shower was also super nice, I loved my shower! The whole place was really great, I would definitely go back any time and have already recommended it to friends.
  
  What could be improved: We requested rooms close to each other and we got them in separate floors, which was hard for my elderly parents but it worked out and it was not a big deal in the end.

  What could be improved: The shower water temperature fluctuated from the warmer setting you put it on to colder, which was annoying. There was probably a mix-up with our room number or something, as the maintenance(?) opened our door without knocking in the morning, said nothing, and closed the door, then came back a bit later, knocked, opened the door, again said nothing and closed it. Would have appreciated more privacy.

  What could be improved: Information about not cleaning the rooms for a two night stay should be made clearer. We do not mind not having the room cleaned but having new cups and the tea/coffee replenished would be a good idea.

  The hotel is located near the historical centre. All tourist places can be reached on foot in 10-15 minutes. The rooms are well equipped with everything you need. The mattresses are soft and quite comfortable. A big plus for me was the presence of an extra pillow of medium softness. The hotel staff is friendly and does their job well
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately the view from our room left a lot to be desired. The only thing that upset us was the lack of bottled drinking water in the room. Every time we ran out of tea/coffee we had to go to reception for it
