The name’s a bit of a mouthful – I mean, who calls their place “Zwinger IX” unless they’re really leaning into that whole Dresden thing – but once you’re actually there, you get it. The apartment is genuinely spacious at 80 square meters, which in Altstadt terms is basically a mansion. I’m talking actual room to spread out your stuff without playing suitcase Tetris, something you definitely can’t say about most city center places.

What really sold me was the parking situation, and if you’ve ever tried to park in Dresden’s old town, you know this is huge. They give you one free spot, which saves you from that daily treasure hunt for street parking or shelling out ridiculous fees at those tourist garage traps. The location is pretty brilliant too – you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Zwinger Palace (hence the name, I guess), but you’re on a side street that doesn’t get the constant stream of tour groups marching past at 7 AM. Freiberger Straße has this nice residential vibe where you’ll see actual locals heading to the bakery in the morning, not just crowds with selfie sticks.

The apartment itself feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying at a hotel – there’s actual personality in the design choices, and honestly, after a day of hitting up the Frauenkirche and Semperoper, you want somewhere that doesn’t scream “generic accommodation.” The kitchen is fully functional if you want to grab groceries at the Rewe around the corner, though with all the incredible restaurants within walking distance, you might not use it much. I particularly loved being close to the Neustadt district just across the Augustus Bridge – that’s where the real nightlife happens, but you can escape back to your quiet street when you’ve had enough. The 9.2 rating makes total sense when you factor in the space, the parking, and that sweet spot location where you’re central but not drowning in tourist chaos. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to hang out in the evening instead of just crashing before the next day’s sightseeing marathon.

  Bardzo ładne, czyste mieszkanie ze wszystkimi potrzebnymi rzeczami na miejscu (pralka, lodówka, mikrofalówka, ekspres do kawy i wiele innych), zgodne z opisem. Lokalizacja bardzo dogodna, cicha okolica i bardzo blisko starego miasta. Łatwy dojazd, miejsce parkingowe łatwe do znalezienia, łatwe do zaparkowania. Bardzo szczegółowe instrukcje od właścicieli.

  Keyless entry via phone app – make sure you have mobile has a charge. The main door is hard to find from the road in the dark, but the area is very safe. Once you use the keyless entry, it becomes very easy. Place is immaculate. Plenty of room, and a nice kitchen.

  Everything was great. After making the reservation, I received a detailed confirmation message in both German and English. Parking and check-in were extremely easy and convenient. It was close to the old town and various amenities, and the facilities were excellent. Considering all of this, the price was more than reasonable.
  
  What could be improved: Although it was an excellent place to stay, it was a bit inconvenient that we had to sort the trash ourselves and take it to the designated area. I think it would be better if we could relax and leave without worrying about it, even if the price increased slightly. Of course, it's still an outstanding accommodation as it is now.

  Every with our stay at this apartment was great. From the location to the facilities. There's AC in both bedrooms and the living room, a balcony with morning sun – perfect for when the temp reaches over 30°C. If you follow Freiberger straße (not Google maps route), it's quick and easy to walk to the old town. Supermarket and bakery within a few minutes' walk.

  All the positive reviews that I have read about this flat is true! We felt quite at home staying in the Pineapple Apartments . We have everything we needed, the location is quiet and just a stone's throw away from several tourist attractions. Thank you for the sweet little treats like, the gummy bears (my boys loved it ) and the sparkling wine ( my husband and I drank it).
