When I first walked up to 2c – it’s this unassuming building tucked into Altstadt – I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what hit me immediately? The space. 65 square meters might not sound huge on paper, but whoever designed this layout actually gets how people live. There’s room to spread out your stuff without tripping over suitcases, and the windows let in this gorgeous morning light that makes you want to linger over coffee instead of rushing out to see the sights.

The parking situation alone makes this place worth considering – I mean, anyone who’s driven around Dresden’s old town knows what a nightmare finding a spot can be. Having that guaranteed space (and it’s actually free, not some sneaky add-on fee) saved me probably an hour of circling blocks and definitely saved my sanity. The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than some sterile hotel room. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, not just a mini-fridge and a prayer. I actually cooked a few meals there because, honestly, sometimes you need a break from restaurant food, and there’s a decent Rewe just a few minutes’ walk away on Prager Straße if you need groceries.

What really sold me on the location – and this is something you won’t get from looking at a map – is how quiet it stays despite being right in the thick of things. Freiberger Straße doesn’t get the heavy tourist foot traffic, but you’re literally a 5-minute stroll from the Zwinger Palace. I’d grab my morning coffee and wander over to see the courtyard before the tour groups descended, which is pure magic if you can swing the timing. The Semperoper’s right there too, and if you’re into that scene, you can actually walk home after evening performances instead of dealing with taxis or late-night public transport. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel – real Dresdeners going about their day, not just souvenir shops and tourist traps. There’s this little bakery around the corner that does incredible Stollen (even off-season), and the owner remembers your order after a couple visits. That 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve spent a few days there – it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just doing everything right without any fuss.

  Property was neat and clean. The location was good.
  
  What could be improved: No AC no Fan. During our stay the outside temperature was pleasant but we have to keep the windows open as it is warmer inside. May not be good place to stay if you visiting in summer.
  There is nothing bad about the property, but I don't feel welcome. There is lots of instructions and restrictions, feels like we are in military boarding school. We followed all the guidelines strictly and in return not even a single Thanks from the owner.

  Clean. Large apartment. 10 minutes walk from the old center. The apartment has everything you need. Quiet.
  A supermarket is 2 minutes away, Dominos 1 minute.
  
  What could be improved: We had to call a couple of times until we received the instructions how to get in.
  Please add hangers in the bathroom. Adding two chairs in the living room could be nice.

  The location was perfect! We were close to everything. It wax so nice to park in the parking garage and take an elevator just a few feet from our apt. The apt had a great deck. We had a lot of room and were very comfortable.
