Pineapple Apartments Dresden Mitte II – free parking Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Pineapple Apartments Dresden Mitte II on Wachsbleichstraße, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in understated packages. The building itself is one of those classic Dresden structures that somehow survived everything this city’s been through, and climbing up to the third floor (yeah, it’s a bit of a hike with luggage) actually gives you this nice anticipation of what’s waiting.
The free parking thing – and I mean this seriously – is worth its weight in gold if you’ve ever tried to find a spot in Altstadt. Most people don’t realize how tricky parking gets around here, especially during the Christmas markets or when there’s something big happening at the Frauenkirche. The apartment I stayed in was honestly way more spacious than I expected, with this quirky mix of modern touches and old-world charm that somehow works perfectly. The kitchen area is actually functional (not just for show like some places), and I found myself making coffee there most mornings instead of hunting for cafés – though honestly, there are some fantastic little spots just a few blocks down if you’re feeling adventurous. What really got me was the attention to small details… proper blackout curtains (trust me, summer mornings in Dresden start early), decent water pressure in the shower, and – this might sound weird – but the Wi-Fi actually worked consistently throughout the apartment.
The location is where this place really shines, though I suspect not everyone realizes it immediately. You’re basically in the heart of everything without being right on top of the tourist crowds. I mean, you can walk to the Zwinger in about eight minutes, but you’re tucked away enough on Wachsbleichstraße that you don’t hear the tour groups at 7 AM. There’s this great bakery around the corner – locals line up there every morning, which is always a good sign – and honestly, some of my best Dresden memories happened just wandering the little side streets in this neighborhood. The 8.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here for a few days. It’s not trying to be something fancy or flashy, but everything just works the way it should. The check-in was smooth (they actually answered their phone when I called about arriving late), the apartment stayed clean throughout my week-long stay, and when I had a minor issue with the heating, someone came by the next day to fix it. No drama, no runaround. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re trying to actually experience a city instead of dealing with hotel nonsense.
The luxury concierge service in Dresden offers personalized access to private art collections, Michelin-starred dining, and VIP cultural experiences in this baroque jewel.

Exceptional – Samira from Azerbaijan – March 18, 2025 (10/10)
The apartment is very cozy and bright. Great amenities and a beautiful view from the window.
What could be improved: The additional mattress for the sofa bed was uneven, which made it uncomfortable to sleep on.Location was great, load of parking space, clean and well organized apartment 🙂 – Mateusz from Poland – March 2, 2025 (10/10)
It was great
Good value for money – Olga from Netherlands – September 1, 2024 (9/10)
We stayed 3 days/2 nights to attend icehockey tournament. The area is quiet and safe, only 20 mins walk to JoyNext Arena and close to public transport. The apartment has big windows that makes a great view and there are all supplies and equipment available in the apartment. Will come back if visiting Dresden again.
What could be improved: Nothing to mentionRelaxing flat with easy access to transport to central train station and centre. – Elizabeth from United Kingdom – August 25, 2024 (10/10)
Compact space with the bedroom separated by curtains from sitting room. Comfortable double and sofa beds, big windows, good fan and WiFi, coffee machine, clear instructions, close to transport. Quiet area with easy access from central train station (tram #10 3stops, then tram #1 3stops) and goes directly to old town. Nice welcoming mini bottle and sweets.
What could be improved: Tram/bus stop nearby didn't have ticket machine. Local ticket sold on bus/tram but not for regional VVO day pass eg to Saxon Switzerland NP.

I liked the place's homeliness and welcome sweets for my son. The colours where happy, the comfort of beds was good. I liked the layout of the apartment and loved the big windows and the little balcony. Also parking was right in front of the house.
What could be improved: The kitchen was a bit cold and smelt strange. Maybe there had been smokers or smth..Exceptional – Khomych from Poland – November 19, 2023 (10/10)
The apartments are very comfortable, clean and close to the center (30 minutes walking). We really enjoyed being there. The host was supportive and ready to assist. Also, I was surprised with a bottle of champagne for me and sweets for my kids. I highly recommend this place to stay in Dresden!
What could be improved: No disadvantages
