The apartment itself feels more like crashing at a friend’s place than staying in some sterile hotel – there’s actual character here, with those high ceilings you get in these old Dresden buildings and windows that let in this amazing morning light. Sure, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or 24-hour room service, but the 8.5 rating makes total sense once you settle in.

What really sold me was how quiet it gets at night despite being so central. You know how some city stays have you lying awake listening to delivery trucks at 3 AM? Not here. The street settles down after the dinner crowd disperses, and you actually get proper sleep. Plus – and this might sound weird – but the building has this particular smell of old wood and maybe some kind of cleaning product that’s oddly comforting. Very European, if that makes sense. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that corporate hotel rigmarole. Just keys, quick rundown of the neighborhood (they actually knew which bakery opens earliest), and you’re sorted. If you’re the type who wants to experience Dresden like someone who actually lives there rather than just ticking off tourist boxes, this spot delivers. The price point doesn’t hurt either – you’re saving enough to actually enjoy those incredible dinners in Neustadt’s restaurant scene instead of blowing your budget on accommodation.

  Ruhige Lage und trotzdem fussläufig zu Bahnhof Dresden-Neustadt, Kultur, Restaurants und Nachleben. Sehr große Wohnung mit ausreichend Platz. Es gibt ein sehr großes Wohnzimmer und zwei Schlafzimmer (vier und zwei Betten). Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin war gut und unkompliziert. Sehr zu empfehlen, wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.
