Lennéstraße runs parallel to the main tourist drag, so you get all the convenience without the constant foot traffic. The trams are right there too (though honestly, you’ll probably walk everywhere since it’s all so close), and there’s this little bakery around the corner that locals actually use – you know, the kind where they look slightly annoyed if you don’t speak German, which is always a good sign. Parking was surprisingly manageable for the old town, though I’d definitely ask about that when you book since Dresden can be tricky with the car situation.

The kitchen’s properly equipped – I made actual meals instead of just heating up leftovers – and the windows are good quality, so you don’t get that street noise that can drive you crazy in city centers.   Schlüsselübergabe und Einführung war sehr nett, kurz und easy. Die Wohnung ist grosszügig und angemessen eingerichtet.
  Der Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage ist ebenfalls sehr angenehm. Mit der Lage direkt am Strassburger-Platz sind Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in kurzer Distanz erreichbar und in die Innenstadt ist es mit den öV sehr leicht……aber teuer. Tip für Aufenthalter: Kaufen Sie eine Wochenkarte – das rechnet sich schnell.

  Der Check In funktionierte hervorragend. Der Gastgeber überraschte mit Getränken im Kühlschrank, großem Obstteller und reichlich Kaffeevorrat. Die Wohnung ist für zwei Personen sehr großzügig bemessen und bestens ausgestattet; das Doppelbett sehr komfortabel, ebenso das geräumige Bad. Eine Tiefgarage ist Bestandteil der Miete.
  Die Wohnung liegt direkt gegenüber der Gläsernen Manufaktur und ist per Straßenbahn genauso unmittelbar erreichbar wie das große Einkaufszentrum SP1 mit Bäcker und Fleischer. Zu Fuß ist die Innenstadt (Altmarkt) 15-20 Minuten entfernt.
  
  What could be improved: Das überhaupt einzig erwähnenswerte Manko ist die Lage an der Strasse mit Straßenbahn. Das wirkt sich aber nur beim Nutzen des Balkons oder bei geöffneten Fenstern aus, also im Sommer. Insgesamt angesichts aller anderen positiven Eindrücke ist dieser kleine Nachteil verkraftbar.
  Die sehr gut schließenden Fenster lassen aber im geschlossenen Zustand überhaupt keine Verkehrsgeräusche in die Wohnung dringen. Und da die Fenster des Schlafzimmers zu einem ruhigen Innenbereich zwischen Wohnblöcken liegen, haben wir diese nachts offen lassen können.

  The location is great. REWE supermarket is just across the street. City center can be reached by walking if the weather is not too cold, but we took the tram which takes us literally everywhere within the city. Love that we can cook our own warm meals during our stay.
