The kitchen has proper coffee supplies, not just those terrible instant packets, and there’s this great little balcony that catches morning sun if you’re an early riser like me. What I really appreciated was the heating system – Dresden can get surprisingly chilly even in spring, and you’ll actually be warm here, unlike some places I’ve stayed where you’re layering sweaters indoors. The Wi-Fi works properly too, which honestly shouldn’t be noteworthy in 2024 but somehow still is in a lot of European apartments.

Location-wise, this is where the Laurin really shines, though not in the obvious touristy way. Sure, you can walk to all the big sights – the Zwinger, the opera house, the river promenade – but what I loved was being close to actual neighborhood spots. There’s this bakery on the corner of Schössergasse (maybe a two-minute walk) where locals line up for bread in the morning, and you’ll find better breakfast there than at most hotel buffets. The grocery situation is solid too – there’s a decent-sized market just across the river if you want to cook, which honestly makes sense given the apartment setup. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving, but that’s just Dresden’s old city for you – narrow streets that weren’t exactly designed for cars. I managed to find street parking most days, though you might want to look into the parking garage near Altmarkt if you’re staying longer than a few nights. The 7.5 rating feels about right to me – it’s not going to wow you with luxury touches, but it delivers on the basics really well and gives you that authentic “living in Dresden” experience instead of just visiting it.

  What could be improved: ich möchte Ihnen eine kurze Rückmeldung zu meinem Aufenthalt geben. Leider hatte ich in der Nacht große Schwierigkeiten, ruhig zu schlafen, da die Betten bei jeder Bewegung laut gequietscht haben. Dies hat mich mehrfach geweckt und teilweise sogar erschreckt.
  
  Zudem schließt die Duschkabine nicht richtig, was dazu geführt hat, dass beim Duschen Wasser ins Badezimmer gelaufen ist.

  What could be improved: om 7 uur smorgens drilboren en heel veel herrie van bouwvakkers. geluid van trein en verkeer heb ik niet over geklaagd, dat is logisch gezien de locatie en goed te doen. Klacht over bouwvakkers om 7 uur smorgens werd niet in behandeling genomen. bloedheet in het appartement apparaat om lucht te koelen werkt niet

  Ottima la posizione, vicina a plurime fermate del tram, nonchè alla stazione dei treni di Dresden Mitte (di lì si prende il treno per Meissen). Appartamento luminoso, arredato in modo grazioso, fornito di una cucina completa, di lavatrice e di asse da stiro. Ho letto un commento sulla rumorosità dell’appartamento; non sono d’accordo. Il mio sonno non è mai stato disturbato da rumori esterni eccessivi

  What could be improved: Das Öffenen der Türen war zubeginn schwierig, hier hätte die Erklärung doch umfassender sein können. Die Sender im Fernsehen könnten mal angepasst werden, sodass man nicht so lange suchen muss.
