Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from an apartment-style place with such a long name, but Global Living totally surprised me. The location on Salzgasse is actually perfect – you’re literally in Dresden’s old town, like a two-minute walk from the Frauenkirche, but somehow it doesn’t feel touristy or crazy busy. The building itself has this modern vibe that somehow works next to all the baroque architecture around it, which I thought might clash but actually doesn’t.

What really got me was how thoughtfully everything’s set up inside. The kitchen isn’t just some tiny corner with a hot plate – I mean, you can actually cook a proper meal here, which is huge when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights. The balcony (and they all have one, from what I saw) gives you this nice view over the neighborhood rooftops, and honestly, having that outdoor space makes such a difference, especially in the evenings when the church bells are ringing and everything feels very… well, very Dresden. The Smart-TV thing might sound gimmicky, but after long days of wandering around the Zwinger or crossing back and forth over the Elbe, being able to just collapse and watch something familiar was actually pretty great. Check-in was smooth – none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby situation since it’s all done digitally.

You know what I really appreciated? The soundproofing is surprisingly good for being right in the historic center. I was worried about noise, especially on weekends when the restaurants on nearby streets get busy, but you really can’t hear much once you’re inside. The whole setup just works for people who want to actually live in Dresden for a few days rather than just sleep there between tourist activities. It’s got that 4-star polish without feeling stuffy or impersonal – more like staying in a friend’s well-designed apartment than a hotel. Plus, being able to grab groceries at the little markets around Neumarkt and cook breakfast on your own schedule instead of dealing with hotel breakfast crowds? That alone made it worth it for me. The 8.8 rating makes total sense once you’re there.

  The apartment is in a perfect place, close to the old city and Elbe bank. It's a short walk to most of the interesting places in the Dresden Old City. The apartment is spacious and clean and easy to access. There is a underground parking lot right out the door, though it is expensive.
  
  What could be improved: I wish there was a microwave in the apartment. Shower is awkwardly designed and it easy to flood the bathroom if you're not careful.

  Perfect location just in the heart of the old town. The apartment is very warm, cozy, spacious, quiet and clean. Very easy to check and check-out.

  The location was amazing, just steps from the Frauenkirche and all the key sights of the old town in Dresden. The apartment was spacious, easy to access and had everything we needed. TVs in all the bedrooms was a big hit with the kids. It was perfect for our family of six for a short stay. Would absolutely recommend.

  The apartment location was perfect! And apartment as well – very clean, everything like in pictures, with all the necessities. Will definitely stay here again!
  
  What could be improved: There were problems with the shower, there was a poor drainage in the shower and water flooded over. We tried to fix it by ourselves and also asked the host to fix it. The host was very responsive and came over the same day. And we didn't have major issues afterwards. But still I think the water drainage was not ideal. But of course this is not a big deal.
