The building itself has that understated charm you find in this part of the city, nothing flashy, but there’s something immediately welcoming about the entrance that made me think, okay, someone here actually cares about this place.

And honestly, they do. I mean, a 9.5 rating doesn’t just happen – that’s the kind of score you get when the small stuff is handled perfectly. The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully simple, if that makes sense. Not trying to be boutique-fancy, but everything works exactly as it should, the beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are spotless without that sterile hotel feel. What really got me was the attention to local touches – they’ve clearly put thought into representing Dresden properly without hitting you over the head with touristy clichés. The staff seems to actually live in the city, which sounds obvious but you’d be surprised how rare that is. They’ll tell you about the weekend market down by Schillerplatz or mention that the tram gets crowded around 5 PM, the kind of casual local knowledge that saves you minor headaches.

Blasewitz itself is honestly one of Dresden’s best-kept secrets – well, I guess it’s not really secret anymore, but it still feels refreshingly normal compared to the Altstadt madness. You’ve got actual neighborhood cafés within walking distance, the kind where locals read newspapers on Sunday mornings, and if you head toward the river, there are these lovely tree-lined paths that hardly anyone talks about in guidebooks. Parking wasn’t a nightmare either, which in German cities is basically a small miracle. The whole area gets quiet in the evenings – not dead quiet, just pleasantly residential – so you’ll actually sleep well here. I stayed during Dresden’s busy summer season and never felt like I was fighting crowds just to get back to my room. It’s that sweet spot of being connected to everything you want to see but removed from the exhausting parts of city travel.

  Sehr schöne, liebevoll eingerichtete Unterkunft mit guter Aussicht, die in einer ruhigen und grünen Gegend liegt. Trotzdessen ist sie gut angebunden; Straßenbahn und Bus sind fußläufig erreichbar und man ist fix in der Alt- oder Neustadt Dresdens. Auch mehrere Bäcker gibt’s gleich ums Eck.Die Schlüsselübergabe verlief ganz komfortabel kontaktlos. Besonders schön war der freundliche Kontakt. Da wird einem sogar die vergessene Jacke hinterhergeschickt. Vielen Dank.

  Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet. In Küche und Bad ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Es ist ein schönes altes Haus mit einem herrlichen Treppenhaus in einer ruhigen Wohngegend. Bus- und Trambahnhaltestelle fußläufig.

  Quite, clean, cozy. Very friendly and communicative host. Easy to park on the street outside without charges. Very close to tram line that takes you to city centre in 15 minutes. Good shops around for coffee and meals.
