I mean, these places are gorgeous but the plumbing can be… well, let’s just say it’s often an adventure. Not here though.

What really sold me was how the staff just gets it. They’re not hovering or overly formal, but when I mentioned I was trying to catch the early morning light at Frauenkirche, they had coffee ready at 6 AM without me even asking. And parking – because let’s be real, this is what everyone worries about in these narrow old streets – they actually help you figure it out instead of just handing you a map with a shrug. There’s a decent spot about two blocks away that doesn’t cost a fortune, and they’ll walk you there the first time if the medieval street layout has you turned around.

The location thing is sort of ridiculous in the best way. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the main square, but tucked onto this quieter stretch where locals actually live and work. There’s a little bakery right around the corner that opens at 6:30 – proper German bread, not tourist stuff – and you can wander over to the Elbe in about five minutes when you need to clear your head. I spent most evenings just walking the riverbank, then coming back to a room that felt like a retreat rather than just a place to crash.

Look, it’s not the Ritz – it’s a three-star place and it knows what it is. But that 9.6 rating isn’t some fluke. It’s what happens when someone actually cares about the details that matter. The kind of place where you find yourself taking longer showers because the bathroom is surprisingly spacious, and where you end up having real conversations with other guests over breakfast instead of just scrolling your phone. If you want to actually experience Dresden instead of just checking it off a list, this is your spot.

  The location was great, near all major touristic attractions, restaurants and shopping areas . The apartment is spacious and fully equipped with all you need. The host Axel was very helpful in arranging the airport transfer early in the morning.
  
  What could be improved: The check-in at 3 pm is a bit too late especially if you have early morning flights. Pillows are too soft and caused some discomfort – we suggest they are replaced with more firm ones. And we also suggest the locker at the entrance door to be repaired as we found at times difficult to open it from inside.

  Beste Lage zur Frauenkirche. Schöne und liebevoll eingerichtete Wohnung. Vom Vermieter wurden wir erwartet, und er hat uns in der Wohnung alles in Ruhe gezeigt und stand für Fragen und Tipps zur Verfügung.
  Der Titel "Dresden zum Verweilen" trifft es genau, denn wir wären gerne viel länger geblieben, weil wir uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Ideal ist der zugehörige Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage, der für unser Auto gut passte, für größere PKW aber eventuell zu klein ist.
  Die Wohnung ist ruhig gelegen, obgleich sie so zentral ist. Wir freuen uns darauf, die Wohnung wieder buchen zu können.

  Was soll man sagen? Es war alles perfekt. Die Lage der Wohnung, die Ausstattung, der Parkplatz im Haus und natürlich auch der Vermieter. Also wer Dresden erkunden möchte, ist hier genau richtig.

  Sehr herzliche Begrüßung durch den netten Gastgeber persönlich, perfekte Erklärung, Insider – Tipps inklusive, die man auch wahrnehmen sollte ( z.B. Cafe mit Eierschecke). Es war eine gelungene Woche nur viel zu kurz. Absolut zentral und doch ruhig gelegen, zur Frauenkirche ca 2min gleich ums Eck, Blick auf das Albertinum und Kunstakademie. Ein wunderschönes Dankeschön an Herrn Wacker.
