You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment you step inside, it doesn’t feel like you’re staying in some cookie-cutter apartment rental. The design is actually thoughtful – I mean, someone clearly put effort into making this feel like a real home rather than just throwing together some IKEA furniture and calling it a day.

Being right on Dr.-Külz-Ring puts you in the thick of Dresden’s Altstadt, which honestly is exactly where you want to be. I could walk to the Frauenkirche in maybe five minutes, and the Zwinger is practically around the corner. What I really appreciated though was how quiet it stayed at night – you’d think being so central would mean dealing with noise, but the windows are solid and the street doesn’t get the same tourist foot traffic as some of the main drags. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (like anywhere in the old town), but there’s a public garage about two blocks away that’s not too expensive by German standards. The whole check-in process was smooth too – none of that awkward waiting around wondering if anyone’s actually going to show up.

The apartment itself has this lived-in quality that I really liked. The kitchen is properly equipped, not just for show, and I actually ended up cooking a few meals because, well, eating out every night in Dresden adds up fast. The bathroom’s modern without being sterile, and the bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night. There’s decent natural light throughout the day, which matters more than you think when you’re trying to relax between sightseeing sessions. I stayed there in early fall and the heating worked perfectly – important detail if you’re visiting during the colder months. The whole vibe is sort of understated elegance, if that makes sense. It’s not trying too hard to impress you, but everything just works well together. For a 3-star place with an 8.4 rating, it definitely delivers on what you’d expect, and honestly feels like it punches above its weight class in terms of location and design quality.

  I had a great experience staying at Design Apartment Dresden Centre – Enjoy and Relax. Everything was just perfect, the apartment was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well-equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the main train station, which made it very convenient. I especially loved the beautiful view from the terrace . It was a lovely place to relax. I would definitely stay here again!

  Отличное расположение, транспортное сообщение с любой точкой города. Просторная тихая квартира, большая кровать. Вцелом все понравилось, совпало с ожиданиями.
  
  What could be improved: Способ заселения с помощью приложения был для меня новым и поначалу вызввл проблемку 🙂 . Но потом привыкла.
  
  
  И да, если есть техническая проблема с интернетом, то в этот момент вы не откроете или не закроете дверь. У меня так случилось при выселении – не сразу открылся замок, даже заволновалась :))

  Die Wohnung besitzt eine sehr gute Lage mitten im Zentrum der Altstadt von Dresden, mit kurzen Wegen zu verschiedensten Einkaufszentren und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Sauberkeit der Unterkunft war ebenfalls sehr gut. Das Auf- und Zusperren der Wohnung mittels einer dafür notwendigen App klappte reibungslos.
  
  What could be improved: Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt war die Ausstattung des Appartements. Neben dem in die Jahre gekommenen Fernseher (störender Empfang bei einigen Sendern, kein Netflix und co. da kein Smart-TV) ist auch die Ausstattung der Küche mit Kochutensilien eher minimalistisch (wenig Besteck, kein Wasserkocher).

  What could be improved: At 13.00 on my arrival day, I had to remind the host, that they still don't send self check in instructions. But than you don't get the key. You MUST download some application on your phone. App is relatively simple, but you don't get any special instructions how to use it. And the only way to every time enter (or lock!) your home is to use this application!? If your phone run out of battery you stay outside of apartment!!! The curtains are about 15 cm too short and the room cannot be fully darkened.

  What could be improved: Owner does not want to provide the receipt for your stay so if you are travelling for work, I would suggest to avoid this place.
  
  Missing amenities, water boiler broken, no coffee (I bought mine and left some for the next guest).
  
  Neighbourhood is laid back, which can be good but don’t expect to find anything after 8pm.

  Beautiful, bright, spacious, super clean, comfortable apartment. Comfortable temperature in early October. Excellent location about 10 to 15 min nice walk to both train and historic center. (midway between both). large supermarket and shopping very close.
  
  What could be improved: Be aware that the checkin requires you to download an app that is used to lock and unlock the door to the apartment. We had no problem but did worry a bit that the cellular data might not function.

  Very clean apartment for 2 people (only room for 2) near Old Town of Dresden. Also had a couple of English speaking TV channels (CNN, BBC).
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately, you have to have Google docs to download the directions and I didn't do that ahead of time. So, then didn't have my password to Google…had to call patient landlord for info. I wish parking information was provided sooner. I also had to download an app to access the apartment (so have that cell phone charged). I had to re-text him for Wi-Fi code. Not sure why that couldn't be on a "Welcome to my apartment" type of card. No kleenex or dishwasher soap or paper towels (again, not sure if people steal and that's why it's not provided..? ) and a second pillow would have been really nice. Pillows are important. Thinking a guy owns place. But, it was clean w/good location. No bfast. Worked.
