Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Dresden, and Comeback Apartment Central honestly surprised me in the best way. The name’s a bit quirky – I mean, “Comeback” sounds like they’re trying too hard – but once you’re actually there on Schwepnitzer Straße, you get it. This whole area of Neustadt has this amazing energy that’s sort of bouncing back from its grittier days, and the apartment fits right into that vibe.

What really struck me first was how quiet it is despite being smack in the middle of everything. You know how some central locations in Dresden can get pretty rowdy, especially with all the students and nightlife? Well, Schwepnitzer Straße sits just off the main drag, so you’re literally a three-minute walk from all those cool bars on Louisenstraße and the vintage shops, but you can actually sleep at night. The building itself has character – it’s one of those renovated old structures where they kept the high ceilings and original details but updated everything that actually matters, like the plumbing and heating (thank god, because Dresden winters are no joke).

The apartment setup is what sold me though. It’s not trying to be some fancy hotel with marble everything, but it’s got this lived-in comfort that makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s place – if your friend happened to have really good taste and kept their space immaculate. The kitchen actually works for more than just making coffee, which is rare in these central spots. I ended up cooking a few meals because the weekly market on Hauptstraße is right there, and honestly, after spending days exploring the Altstadt or hiking up to the Elbe viewpoints, it was nice to just chill at “home.” The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters if you’re like me and need to catch up on work between adventures. Only tiny complaint? The shower pressure could be stronger, but that’s pretty standard for these older buildings, and the hot water never ran out on me. With that 8.9 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who thinks this place nails the balance between location, comfort, and authenticity – it’s the kind of spot that makes you want to come back to Dresden, hence the name, I suppose.

Hotel in Dresden booking should be done early, especially during opera season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed performances at the famous Semperoper.

  Отдыхали в апартаментах в октябре 2024. От квартиры остались в полном восторге! Замечательная , приветливая хозяйка. Встретила, все показала, рассказала. Апартаменты находятся недалеко от центра и автовокзала, вокруг красивая архитектура и приятно пройтись к центру старого города пешком. Рядом есть магазины и кафе. Квартира оборудована всем необходимым и даже больше. Очень чисто и аккуратно. Дизайн атмосферный и уютный, есть у квартиры особый шарм)
  Это точно то место, куда хочется вернуться )

  Clean and cozy as home. Loved meeting with a host in person who was super friendly and kind. Wonderful location left a very good impression of the city overall. Safe with lots of restaurants and cute cafes. Easy to walk or ride to the old city. We stayed during a concert and the price for this apartment was very low compared to other properties which is very nice of the host.
  
  What could be improved: To make this home even more perfect: Bed could be firmer (of course it may be my personal choice). Also cotton sheets be nice!

  Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war super, die Wohnung sehr sauber, man hat alles was man für einen Kurzurlaub braucht. Sehr schöne kleine komfortable Wohnung, Platz ist völlig ausreichend für einen schönen Pärchenurlaub.
