City-Ferienwohnungen-Dresden – zentral gelegen im Haus Louisenstrasse 11 – Dresden-Neustadt Overview
Okay, so first thing you notice about City-Ferienwohnungen-Dresden is that mouthful of a name – but honestly, once you’re there, it just becomes “that great place on Louisenstrasse.” I mean, the location alone is worth talking about. You’re right in Dresden-Neustadt, which is actually where the locals hang out, not the touristy Altstadt across the river. Walk out the door and you’re literally surrounded by cafes, vintage shops, and those little galleries that Dresden does so well.
The building itself sits on Louisenstrasse 11, and you know what? It feels like staying in an actual neighborhood rather than some sterile hotel district. I love that about these apartment-style setups – you get your own space, a proper kitchen if you want to grab groceries from the market down the street, and honestly, the freedom to come and go without dealing with front desk schedules. The 8.8 rating makes total sense once you’re settled in. It’s not trying to be fancy (it’s a solid 3-star), but everything just… works. The WiFi is reliable, the heating keeps up with Dresden’s chilly evenings, and the beds are actually comfortable – which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given with apartment rentals.
What really sold me on this place is how it connects you to the real Dresden. Neustadt has this artsy, slightly bohemian vibe that’s completely different from the reconstructed baroque beauty across the Elbe. You can walk to the Kunsthofpassage in about ten minutes (those colorful courtyards are Instagram gold, but also genuinely cool), and the tram connections are right there when you want to explore the famous stuff like the Frauenkirche or Zwinger Palace. But here’s the thing – after a day of tourist sites, you come back to a neighborhood where people are walking their dogs, grabbing evening beers at corner pubs, and where the bakery smell hits you first thing in the morning. The apartment setup means you can spread out properly, maybe cook a simple dinner with ingredients from the weekly market, and it definitely beats cramped hotel rooms when you’re staying more than a couple nights. Sure, you don’t get daily housekeeping or a concierge, but the trade-off is worth it – you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re actually living in Dresden for a while.
Hotel in Dresden booking should be done early, especially during opera season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed performances at the famous Semperoper.

This is the most delightful place i have stayed on my trip. Its cosy and classy. I absolutely loved it. Super clean. Well equipped. Location is sensational. Easy walk to Dresden Neustadt station. Trams nearby too. The district of Neustadt is excellent and i didnt know it when i booked, but that area is a much better place to stay than in the old town. There are cafes and restaurants and bars and interesting shops. I walked to and from the old town twice and it was a delightful walkeach time. Do yourself a favour and book this fabulous place (unless you have an issue with stairs in which case dont).
What could be improved: There is nothing not to like about the place.Great will stay again, host was very easy going and friendly – Steve from Australia – September 22, 2022 (9/10)
Location was great, not in a tourist area but very easy to get to the centre of Dresden. Local area great for food and bars. Quiet location surprisingly, given location. Perfect size for two and kitchen facilities perfect.
What could be improved: Nothing.Exceptional – Ganna from Ukraine – September 14, 2022 (10/10)
