I mean, it’s not Olympic-sized or anything, but on a chilly German morning, slipping into warm water while looking out toward the Elbe… well, that’s the kind of moment that makes you forget you’re technically still in a city.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to feel modern without being sterile. The interiors have that sleek German design thing going on – clean lines, good lighting, everything works exactly like it should – but there’s warmth to it too. And the Elbe access they mention? It’s not just marketing speak. You can actually walk down to the riverbank in about two minutes, which is perfect if you’re into those early morning runs along the water (though honestly, I mostly used it for evening walks when the light hits the old town across the river just right). The location puts you within easy walking distance of the Kunsthofpassage – those colorful courtyards that everyone photographs – and the whole Äußere Neustadt scene with its cafés and vintage shops that locals actually frequent, not just tourists.

The 4-star rating feels about right, maybe even conservative. Sure, it’s not the Taschenbergpalais with white-glove service, but the 8.5 guest rating makes total sense when you factor in that pool situation plus being able to park without losing your mind (street parking on Bautzner isn’t terrible if you know the zones). Check-in was smooth, the rooms are properly soundproofed – important since Neustadt can get lively on weekends – and honestly, having that pool as your private escape after walking around Dresden’s cobblestones all day? That’s worth the booking alone. I’d definitely stay here again, especially in shoulder season when you get the best of both worlds: fewer crowds in the city, but that heated pool keeping things comfortable no matter what the weather’s doing.

  Die Lage und das Anwesen ist sensationell. Dir Ausstattung ist auch gut, entspricht nur nicht ganz der Beschreibung.
  
  What could be improved: Für die Poolheizung verlangt der Eigentümer nachträgliche Zusatzkosten von 360€. Wir waren nur eine Nacht dort und halten das nicht für gerechtfertigt. Zumal es auch keinerlei Infos in den Unterkunftsrichtlinien gab. Ebenso steht da als Ausstattung Sauna, was aber nur eine Dampfdusche ist.
