But here’s the thing that really got me: the rooftop terrace. Dresden spreads out below you in a way that makes you understand why people fall in love with this city. On clear evenings, you can see all the way to the Elbe, and there’s something magical about having your morning coffee up there while the city wakes up below.

Plauen itself is sort of Dresden’s best-kept secret – it’s got this authentic residential feel that you miss in the touristy Altstadt area, but you’re still only a quick tram ride from all the major sights. The neighborhood has these great little bakeries and cafés that locals actually use, not just tourist traps. I mean, you’ll walk past actual Dresdeners going about their daily lives, which gives you a completely different sense of the city. The underground parking spots they mention? In a city where parking can be absolutely brutal, especially in the nicer neighborhoods, this is genuinely a game-changer. I watched other guests stress about street parking while I just rolled into the garage – small luxury that becomes a big deal when you’re actually staying there.

What really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being in a residential area. You get that lived-in neighborhood feel without the noise that usually comes with it.   Sehr schöne Schlafzimmer mit eigenen Bädern. Betten wären sehr bequem!
  Die Wohnung war sauber und modern eingerichtet. Alles was wir benötigen haben, war da.
  Nespresso-Pads wären auch vorhanden und sogar Match-Pulver – meine Tochter war sehr glücklich :-).
  In jedem Raum sind die elektrischen Rollläden – man kann im Dunkeln schlafen.
  Der Fernseher war für Film-Abende beim verregneten Wetter super.
  Der Auto-Aufzug war für unseren Skoda-Oktavia groß genug und einfach zu nutzen.
  Die Flachdachterrasse war sehr schön.

  Die Lage ist absolut super, zum Bahnhof und dem angrenzenden Zentrum sind es nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Es ist absolut ruhig, kein Straßenverkehr o.ä.zu hören. Das Appartement ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es fehlte nichts.

  Die Unterkunft war sehr komfortabel , modern und hochwertig eingerichtet.
  Die beiden Schlafzimmer und die dazugehörigen Bäder haben eine schöne Größe , und es fehlte nichts um sich Wohl zu füllen.
  Auch die Küche war sehr hochwertig mit Marken Geräten ausgestattet.
  Alles war Geschmackvoll und perfekt eingerichtet.
  Die Betreuung vom Gastgeber war außergewöhnlich gut.

  Brand new apartment, very stylish and convenient. More than enough space for 4 people. We especially liked the kitchen, small but well designed, equipped with expensive modern devices. Really liked that the owner didn't economise on details and equipment.

  I was staying in this apartment last weekend with my family. We were very impressed with the size of the apartment and long balcony with entrance from each room.
  The apartment is a good equipped, integrated small fridge for drinks, which is a great idea.
  The area is very quiet and only 20 minutes walk from city centre. Definitely recommend this apartment. I hope to use it again in the future.
