It’s actually in an apartment building on Wiener Straße, which sounds way more intimidating than it is – I mean, you’re literally steps from Dresden’s Großer Garten, and honestly, that makes all the difference. The location is one of those happy accidents where you end up somewhere that feels residential and authentic instead of touristy, but you can still walk to the Altstadt in about fifteen minutes when you want that postcard Dresden experience.

The apartment itself has that slightly worn-in feeling that I actually prefer over sterile hotel rooms. It’s clean and functional – definitely hitting that 3-star sweet spot where you’re not paying for marble everything, but you’re also not wondering if the sheets are actually clean. The kitchen setup is surprisingly useful if you want to grab groceries from the Rewe down the street (there’s one pretty close, which saved me from eating out every meal). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Wiener Straße isn’t exactly a main thoroughfare, so you don’t have trams rattling by at all hours like you do closer to the Hauptbahnhof.

The Großer Garten thing isn’t just marketing speak, by the way. I’d walk through it every morning to get coffee, and it’s genuinely one of those parks where locals are out jogging and walking their dogs – you get that slice of everyday Dresden life that you miss when you’re staying right in the tourist center. Plus, if you’re traveling with kids or just want to decompress, the park has this little railway that’s sort of charmingly old-school. The apartment’s position means you can duck into the city center when you want culture and history, but retreat back to this quieter neighborhood when the crowds get overwhelming. Parking was easier than I expected too – not always a given in German cities, honestly. The 8.7 rating makes sense to me; it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises.

  Bardzo wygodne mieszkanie, czyste i ze wszystkim co potrzebne do krótkiego pobytu. Super położenie zaraz przy dużym parku, komunikacja zaraz niedaleko. Doskinały kontakt z gospodarzem. Zdecydowanie wszystkim polecam

  Bardzo czyste mieszkanko, dobre wifi, można ze zwierzętami, darmowy parking, wygodne łóżka, balkon od strony ogrodu (zapach kwitnącej lipy w bonusie 😀, a Karsten to bardzo miła osoba, wszystko nam wytłumaczył i cierpliwie czekał na nasz przyjazd. Okolica spokojna i bezpieczna, bardzo dobrze skomunikowana. Wspaniały park w odległości 200m od apartamentu.

  Csendes környék, kellemes méretű/berendezésű, felszerelt lakás. Hálószobában remek ágy, ablakokon redőny és függöny. A konyhában vizforraló, filteres kávéfőző(van néhány filter is), mosogatószer, folyékony szappan, papirtörtlő, tűzhely sütővel. Van kevés cukor, só, stb. Fürdőszobában hajszáritó, sok akasztó- és tárolóhely, takaritő eszközök, zuhanyfülkében kapaszkodó. Villamos, busz, vonat kb. 10 perc gyaloglás, Netto +5 perc, pékség még egy sarok.
  Angenehme Lage/Grösse/Einrichtung/Farben. Nettes Schlafzimmer mit Vorhang und Jalousien. Gutes Bett. Viel Stauraum/Anhänger im Bad. Duschkabine hoch, gibt's aber einen starken Griff zum Ein-/austreten. Küche klein, hat alles nötige (auch paar Filter zum Kaffeekochen, paar Gewürze, etwas Zucker, Küchenrolle, Spülmittel, sogar auch Flüssigseife) und Fenster zum Garten. Gästemappe .
  Bus/Strassenbahn/Bahn zur Innenstadt: 10 Min., Netto 15 Min. zu Fuss. Bäckerei eine Ecke weiter.
  
  What could be improved: Nekem hiányzott a szúnyogháló, a 2,5 dl-es bögre teának/tejeskávénak, egy tálca, nedvszivő konyharuha, a kádkilépő. Az utcában a járda csak az autókihajtóknál van burkolva, egyébként nagyon apró murva van, ami a 2. lépés után bekúszik a cipőbe és ott is marad. Autósoknak ez nem gond, mi most gyalogosan voltunk.
  Zum perfekten Aufenthalt mir fehlten einiges: Mosquitonetz, 2,5 dl Tassen (Tee, Milchkaffee), ein Tablet, saugfähige Geschirrtuch, Mikro, Badematte. Der Gehweg in der Strasse ist nur mit feinem Kies bedeckt, die schleichen beim ersten Schritt in die Schuche und bleiben auch da.(Wir waren ohne Auto).

  Ładna i zadbana kamienica. Jest gdzie zaparkować auto i za darmo. Szeroki wybór programów TV z TV Polonia. Polecam miasto Drezno, wiele do zwiedzania, 3-4 dni to za mało.

  Die Wohnung war perfekt für den geplanten kurzen Aufenthalt von 3 Nächten in Dresden,
  es gab ausführliche Infos in einer Mappe, die der Vermieter erstellt hatte,
  so konnte man, auch ohne dass man sich selber im Vorhinein informiert hatte,
  alles Wesentliche erfahren.
  
  What could be improved: Wir mussten wir einige Gläser und Tassen vor Gebrauch noch einmal nachspülen (Teeränder, Lippenstiftreste).
  Außerdem waren 2 Leuchten defekt ( im Badezimmer die Spiegelleuchte, an der Stehlampe im WZ die Leseleuchte).
  
  Diese Details kann man natürlich nicht unbedingt auf den ersten Blick z.B. beim Reinigen der Wohnung erkennen.
  
  Ansonsten war wirklich alles super!

  Гарні просторі апартаменти, чисті і комфортні. Зручні ліжка. Кухня укомплектована всім необхідним.
  Господар зустрів особисто і відповів на всі питання.
  Розташування на тихій вулиці, не в центрі але недалеко є зупинка. Також до магазину Netto приблизно 10 хвилин пішки.
  Поряд розташований гарний парк , яким приємно прогулюватись, рекомендую.

  What could be improved: Die Innenstadt ist mit dem Fahrrad gut, sicher und schnell zu erreichen. Vor dem Haus bekommt man problemlos einen Parkplatz. In der Nähe ist der große Park "Großer Garten", dieser ist schön angelegt und man kann dort lange Spaziergänge machen.
