This four-star property sits right in the heart of Dresden’s old town, and I mean literally — you can’t get more central than this without camping in the Frauenkirche square.

Here’s the thing about staying in Dresden’s Altstadt — most places claim to be “centrally located,” but this one actually delivers. I could walk to the Zwinger Palace in about three minutes, and the Semperoper was practically next door. What really struck me was how quiet the apartment stayed despite being surrounded by all the main attractions. The Schloßstraße location means you’re on a pedestrian-friendly street, so no dealing with traffic noise or tour buses rumbling past your window at dawn.

The Space Itself

The apartment lives up to its “Traumblick” promise — that view really is something special. From the windows, you get this gorgeous panorama of Dresden’s baroque skyline that changes completely depending on the time of day. Morning light hits the church domes just right, and honestly, I spent way too much time just staring out at the rooftops with my coffee. The room setup is smart too — everything feels spacious without being overwhelming, and there’s this cozy efficiency to how it’s all arranged.

Living Like a Local

What I loved most was having a proper kitchen to work with. Sure, Dresden has incredible restaurants (and plenty within walking distance), but sometimes you want to grab fresh bread from the local bakery and make your own breakfast while watching the city wake up. The apartment gives you that flexibility without sacrificing any of the hotel-style comfort. Plus, having your own space means you can actually unpack and settle in — something you don’t realize you miss until you have it again. There’s also convenient parking available nearby for guests with vehicles.

I can see why couples rate this place so highly for romantic getaways. There’s something intimate about having your own little oasis right in the middle of all that baroque grandeur.   Exceptional quality apartment. Very fresh decor. Clean, bright and airy with windows on two sides of the apartment. Amazingly convenient for sightseeing, restaurants and transport. The apartment is quiet as it is on the fifth floor (accessible by lift). Large bathroom with high quality fittings. Excellent kitchen with dishwasher and clothes washer. Huge amount of storage space – hanging, drawers and so on.
  
  Host Mandy was very responsive to messages in lead up to our stay and in arranging to hand over keys. Checking in was super easy – none of those unnecessary and overly-detailed tours of the apartment that some hosts like to conduct!
  
  As mature and very experienced traveller we don’t recall ever staying in a better apartment in Europe.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing to suggest – the apartment exceeded expectation.

  Größe, Ausstattung und Einrichtung waren phänomenal! Von der Ferienwohnung aus ist man innerhalb von 5 Minuten bei allen bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Innenstadt und allen wichtigen Museen.
  Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befinden sich auf der anderen Straßenseite, Restaurants in großer Mehrzahl und Auswahl in derselben Straße.
  Auch ein bezahlbarer Parkplatz war fußläufig innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu finden.

  Schöne Wohnung in hervorragender Lage. Alles tiptop sauber, gut ausgestattet. Hervorragende Betten und Bettzeug.
  'Vom Wohnzimmer Blick auf den Kulturpalast mit dem großen Gemälde "Weg der roten Fahne" und der Inschrift "Trotz allem, wir sind die Sieger der Geschichte". So kann man sich täuschen. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgberin. In dem (sehr großzügigen Bad) könnte man noch einen Hocker gebrauchen. In der Küche kann man auch Frühstücken ( Bäckerei gleich nebenan) – Kaffeemaschien funktioniert ist betriebsbereit und funktioniert, Besteck etc. alles vorhanden.
  
  What could be improved: Lampe im Wohnzimmer höher hängen, damit man nicht ständig mit dem Kopf dagen stößt.

  Der Aufenthalt in Dresden war super. Die Wohnung ist komplett neu und perfekt eingerichtet. Wir haben es genossen. Die Kommunikation mit Mandy war klasse, wir durften 2 Stunden früher einchecken und zwei Stunden später auschecken. Alles war wie geleckt und super gepflegt. Der Ausblick auf den Striezelmarkt und die Frauenkirche hat uns beeindruckt. Auch der Blick auf das sozialistische Mosaik fanden wir schön. Man ist super central und alles ist fussläufig zu erreichen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen und kommen bald wieder. Dresden hat uns positiv überrascht. Es ist super schön und die Menschen mega nett. Vielen lieben Dank
