You know what struck me first about this place? It’s actually in Cotta, which most tourists completely overlook – and honestly, that’s exactly why I loved it. The 2-Raumwohnung sits right on Meißner Landstraße, and while that might sound like you’re stuck in some residential nowhere, you’re actually perfectly positioned. I mean, you get the real Dresden experience without the tourist crowds stepping on your heels every five minutes.

The apartment itself is refreshingly straightforward – two proper rooms that actually feel like rooms, not those cramped hotel boxes where you’re bumping into furniture. What really got me was how quiet it stays, even though you’re on a main street. The windows must be decent because I barely heard traffic, and trust me, I’m one of those people who notices every little sound. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place than some sterile accommodation, which explains that crazy 9.4 rating. Check-in was smooth too – none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby nonsense.

Here’s the thing about Cotta that the guidebooks won’t tell you: you’re actually closer to some of Dresden’s best stuff than if you stayed right in the Altstadt. The tram connections are solid (and way less crowded heading into the city center), plus you’ve got actual neighborhood life around you. There’s a decent bakery just down the street – I grabbed coffee there most mornings and watched locals doing their thing. And when you want to hit the major sights like Frauenkirche or Zwinger, you’re looking at maybe 20 minutes on public transport, but you get to escape back to somewhere that feels authentic at the end of the day. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which anyone who’s tried to drive in central Dresden will appreciate. The only minor thing – and this is really minor – is that grocery options right nearby are a bit limited, but honestly, exploring different neighborhoods for supplies kind of became part of the fun. For a 3-star place, this apartment punches way above its weight, and I’d definitely book it again.

  Wir sind super nett empfangen worden und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet und wirklich eine tolle Alternative zum Hotel. Frühstücken in aller Ruhe, Bäcker gegenüber . Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel top. Gerne wieder.

  Super mieszkanie, mega czysto, bardzo przyjazni wlasciciele, bardzo szybko odpowiadali. W mieszkaniu sa wszystkie potrzebne rzeczy, bylo cieplo, lozko bylo bardzo wygodne. Mieszknie jest polozone przy ruchliwej ulicy, ale bylo cicho. Przystanek autobusowy jest okolo 200-300 m od mieszkania i jedzie tam autobus nr 68 bezposrednio do centrum, okolo 25 minut.

  In idealer Nähe zur Autobahn gelegene, großzügige Wohnung mit Stellplatz und tollem Bäcker direkt gegenüber. In Bad und Küche gibt es eine kleine "Erstausststtung". Die Küche ist toll ausgestattet.
  Abdunklung ist ideal möglich mit Rolläden. Das WLAN ist schnell und stabil. Es gibt sogar eine Waschmaschine (haben wir allerdings nicht benutzt).
  Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
  
  What could be improved: Man muß einfach wissen, dass die Wohnung an einer Straße liegt, die unter der Woche stärker befahren ist. Für Lärmempfindliche sind Ohrenstöpsel ein Tipp.
