The apartment itself – well, it’s technically a 3-star spot, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s basic. I mean, the owners clearly know what travelers actually want versus what hotels think we want. The kitchen’s properly stocked (none of that “here’s one bent spoon” nonsense), and the bed situation is actually comfortable, not just Instagram-pretty. What really sold me was the morning light streaming through those tall German windows – you wake up feeling like you’re in a local’s flat, not some sterile hotel box. The neighborhood sounds filter in gently too: occasional trams rumbling by, people chatting as they head to work, the kind of authentic city rhythm you can’t fake.

Here’s the thing about staying in Neustadt – you’re literally walking distance from the Elbe riverfront, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by the stuff locals actually use. There’s this bakery about two blocks down that opens ridiculously early (perfect if you’re jet-lagged), and the whole area has this relaxed, artsy vibe without being pretentious about it. Parking was easier than I expected, actually – the streets aren’t as cramped as the old city center. The tram connections are solid if you want to hop over to see the Frauenkirche or Zwinger Palace, but honestly, some of my best Dresden moments happened just wandering the Neustadt streets. The apartment gives you that perfect base camp feeling – somewhere you actually want to return to after a day of sightseeing, where you can grab a local beer from the corner shop and decompress like a human being instead of a tourist checking boxes.

  Die Wohnung liegt perfekt in der Neustadt, schön ruhig, direkt am Elbufer und doch nah der inneren Neustadt. Es ist alles da, was man braucht und noch mehr. Sehr hübscher Einrichtungsstil! Die Kommunikation war sehr unkompliziert und viele Fragen wurden schon vorab geklärt. Gerne wieder!

  Great location right across the street from the river park. Beautiful apartment that feels like someone's home (it is, I think), beautifully furnished and decorated, clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The hosts were responsive and sought our feedback. Services (grocery, café, e-bike rental, ice cream parlor, etc.) within a 10-minutes walk radius, and the "most beautiful dairy in the world" is quite close. Tramway is about a 7 minute walk from the apartment.
  
  What could be improved: The only issue we had is that, because of street and party noise (the building is at a fairly busy intersection where trucks go by fairly regularly at all hours, and across the road from the river park, where people were partying and playing loud music (we stayed there over a weekend)), we could not really leave the windows open at night, and since we were there during a heat wave with temperatures in the mid-20s at night, it made sleeping a little uncomfortable. Otherwise, it is a beautiful and very comfortable apartment and our exchanges with the hosts were very good.

  The apartment was wonderful, very big and spacious. It was adjacent to the river and park. The walks were lovely. The apartment was close to shops and the Hop on Hop off bus which was handy!

  Best apartament that I stayed in while my trip across Germany. Feels like a real home and not apartament for rent with cheapest furniture. It was a great place to relax after exploring the city. Really well equipped kitchen with a place to sit down, have a coffee or eat together. Quiet neighborhood, but still quite close to city center – we explored most of the city on foot.
  
  What could be improved: WiFi connection not so great, sometimes got disconnected. Besides that everything was great.

  We loved staying in this beautiful apartment in Dresden-Neustadt. The apartment is tastefully decorated, really comfortable and well equipped, and it is just a stone's throw away from the Elbe River and a rose garden. The historic old town of Dresden is only a 20 minute walk down the river, so it is really easy to explore. It is the perfect place for a vacation for families and couples!
