You know what struck me first about Premium City Apartment Dresden? It’s tucked away on Gehestraße in Pieschen, and honestly, that’s kind of perfect. I mean, you’re not right in the tourist chaos of Altstadt, but you’re close enough that a quick tram ride gets you to all the major sights. The Pieschen neighborhood has this authentic Dresden vibe – you’ll see actual locals grabbing coffee at the corner bakery, not just tour groups shuffling around with cameras. The building itself feels solid, probably from the early 1900s I’d guess, with those thick walls that actually keep street noise out (which, trust me, matters when you’re trying to sleep).

What really gets me about this place is the attention to detail that you don’t usually find in a 3-star spot. The apartments – and they really are proper apartments, not just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge – have these fully equipped kitchens where you can actually cook a real meal. The guys running this place clearly get that travelers want options beyond expensive hotel restaurants every night. I loved that they had proper wine glasses, not plastic cups, and the shower pressure was honestly better than my apartment back home. The WiFi actually works throughout the whole space, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places mess this up. Small thing, but they even had good hangers in the closet – not those weird ones you can’t remove.

What really sold me on recommending this place though is how it sits in the city. You’re maybe a 15-minute walk to the Elbe riverbank, which is gorgeous for evening strolls, and there’s this great local restaurant called Gasthaus Pieschen just down the street that serves proper Saxon food without the tourist markup. The tram connections are actually excellent – Line 3 runs right through the area and gets you to Neustadt or the old town without any transfers. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which anyone who’s driven in German cities will appreciate. The only minor thing I’d mention is that grocery shopping means a short walk to the Netto or taking the tram to a bigger Rewe, but honestly, that’s pretty typical for city living. With a 9.7 rating, I wasn’t surprised to find the place was spotless and well-maintained – it’s clear the owners actually care about the guest experience rather than just collecting booking fees. If you want to experience Dresden like you’re temporarily living there instead of just passing through, this is your spot.

  Muy bien situado en un barrio tranquilo a pocas estaciones de tranvía del centro. Supermercados a 5 minutos a pie.

  Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und die Ferienwohnung ließ keine Wünsche offen.
  Es wurde an alles gedacht . Die Wohnung ist makellos sauber und auch ausgesprochen praktisch. Sie ist durch und durch hochwertig und mit vielen nützlichen Extras ausgestattet . Wir haben gut geschlafen und es war gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet.
  Sie hat eine sehr schöne Küche und Eßplatz. Im Bad sind viele Handtücher vorhanden, außerdem Duschbad und Pflegeartikel. Man kann auch eine Zahnbürsten vergessen, viele Sachen sind vorhanden.
  Besonders hervorzuheben sind die vielen Aufhängemöglichkeiten und Haken. Das wird woanders oft bemängelt . In dieser Wohnung sind ausreichend vorhanden. Wir würden die Wohnung jederzeit wieder buchen und können sie zu 100% weiter empfehlen , ideal für Städtetrip und auch für, Konzertbesuch z .b im Alten Schlachthof .
  
  What could be improved: Als Einzigstes wäre der relativ hohe Einstieg in die Dusche anzumerken was aber für uns kein Problem war.

  Super hosts! Even though we were late for check in due to unfortunate events the hosts were very understanding. The house was very neat, nicely designed and in a very silent neighborhood, definetly made our stay in Dresden better. Thanks!
