You know what caught me off guard about Nuvoom Workation? The name makes it sound like some sterile coworking space, but honestly, this place has way more personality than I expected. Tucked into this narrow cobblestone street in Dresden’s Altstadt, it sits right where the tourist chaos meets actual local life – and I mean that in the best way possible. Schützengasse is one of those streets where you’ll hear church bells from the Frauenkirche mixing with the clatter of delivery bikes heading to the cafés nearby.

The whole “workation” concept actually works here, which surprised me. The internet is legitimately fast (I was pulling decent speeds even during peak hours), and they’ve got these little nooks where you can spread out your laptop without feeling like you’re camping in a hotel lobby. But here’s the thing – even if you’re not working remotely, the setup just makes the place feel more lived-in and comfortable. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re smartly designed with proper desk space and decent lighting. I stayed on the third floor and could hear the morning bustle from the street below, which honestly added to the charm rather than being annoying. You’re literally steps from the Neumarkt square, so if you want quiet, well… maybe look elsewhere. But if you want to feel plugged into the city’s rhythm, this is perfect.

What really sold me on this place was how it handles that tricky balance of being central without being touristy. Walk five minutes in any direction and you’ll hit major sights – the Semperoper, the Zwinger, all that baroque stuff Dresden’s famous for. But walk two minutes the other way and you’re at this little Vietnamese place the locals actually eat at, or browsing through the Neustadt district where things get properly interesting after dark. The staff seemed to get this too – they weren’t pushing the typical tourist restaurants but actually had solid recommendations for where to grab a decent coffee or find a grocery store. Check-in was smooth, parking… well, you’re in the old town, so good luck with that, but the tram connections are solid if you end up leaving your car somewhere outside the center. For a 3-star place, it punches above its weight, and that 8.6 rating makes total sense once you spend a night or two here.

  Great location—close to train and tram stops, and within walking distance of Dresden’s old town and lots of attractions. It’s in a quiet area. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed, especially appreciated the microwave/oven and good-quality fixtures.
  
  What could be improved: No shampoo provided. The windows face the street, so you have to keep the curtains closed for privacy. I was out all day, so it didn’t really bother me.

  It is very near to the train station where we can easily go around the cities of Saxony. It is very near to the old city. The place is very peaceful and near a supermarket where we can buy what we needed and also restaurants are just around the corner.

  Great place to see the Christmas markets from and quite suitable for working with both a desk and a table, great wifi etc. The kitchen was really well equipped but had no bench space so you need to be creative. Comfortable beds, large tv, uncomfortable couch.
  
  What could be improved: The couch was really uncomfortable and we had no instructions on where the washing machine was located. It would’ve been nice if host could’ve let us know once the property was ready so we could move in out of the cold.

  Close to the centre of the city. Comfortable bed, lots of lights, warm flat, quiet neighbourhood with two supermarkets nearby. Enough cups, glasses and cutlery.
  
  What could be improved: The railway station ( Dresden Hauptbanhof) is about 2 km from the flat ( not 250 m as in the description). Very small kitchen with portable cooker for only one pot.

  Great location in the centre, next to Zwinger. Postplatz with tram/bus terminal / supermarkets few minutes to walk. The street and the building were quiet, safe, not a party zone, traffic was low.
  The apartment is like a student studio, it was clean, practical, simple but very comfortable, roomy enough for two (or three). It is on the ground floor, but even with the windows open we didn't experience any problems with too much street noise.
  There was plenty of all bedding, pillows and towels.
  There is a (very) small kitchen with a coffee machine (for capsules – a few were "included" which was very nice 😉 and a small electric stove – but there is really very very little space for real cooking (we did not need it, so was not an issue for us 🙂
  Communication with the owner and handing over the keys via the safe deposit box without any problems.
  We had a great stay there!
  
  What could be improved: The shower worked great, but behind the black plastic curtain the showering was too "dark" 😉 – but it was nothing important or unbearable for us
