When I first pulled up to Fewo 2 on Bodenbacher Straße, I’ll be honest — it doesn’t scream “hotel” from the outside. This four-star property sits quietly in the Blasewitz district, and that’s actually part of its charm. The building has this understated residential feel that makes you feel like you’re staying in a proper Dresden neighborhood rather than some touristy bubble. What immediately caught my attention was how easy it was to find parking right on site — and it’s free, which is honestly a godsend in a city where parking can be a real headache.

You know what I love about staying in Blasewitz? It’s where actual locals live, but you’re still close enough to Dresden‘s main attractions without dealing with the crowds every time you step outside. The area has this lovely residential vibe with tree-lined streets, and I found myself taking longer walks than planned just because the neighborhood felt so authentic. There’s something refreshing about grabbing coffee from a local café where you’re not surrounded by tour groups — it gives you a completely different perspective on the city.

The Space Itself

The apartment setup here is what really sets Fewo 2 apart from your typical hotel experience. My room felt more like a temporary home than a place to just crash for the night. The kitchen was surprisingly well-equipped — I mean, you could actually cook a proper meal if you wanted to, not just heat up leftovers. The space felt thoughtfully designed, with enough storage that I could actually unpack my suitcase instead of living out of it for days. Everything was clean and modern, but not in that sterile, corporate way that makes you afraid to touch anything.

Getting Around

Here’s something I didn’t expect — the location actually works better than some of the more central hotels I’ve stayed at in Dresden. Sure, you’re not walking distance from the Frauenkirche, but the public transport connections are solid, and honestly, having that free parking means you can explore the surrounding Saxon countryside if you’re driving. I found myself appreciating the quieter evenings after busy days of sightseeing. Plus, when couples rate the location 8.6 out of 10, there’s clearly something special about the area that resonates with people looking for a more intimate Dresden experience.

What really struck me about Fewo 2 is how it manages to feel both practical and special at the same time.   Die Lage ist für alle die Dresden anschauen wollen sehr gut.
  Man kann mit dem Fahrrad sehr gut über den Elberadweg bis nach Dresden fahren (10 km)
  Desweiteren hält direkt vor der Türe die Tram.
  
  What could be improved: Leider ist das Wlan sehr schlecht, man muss raus vor die Türe gehen.
  Obwohl der Vermieter uns ein anderes Netz gegeben hat
  wurde es nicht besser.
  Aber das war das einzige.

• Bungalow im "Grünen Innenhof" – Sabine from Germany – May 27, 2025 (9/10)

  Ebenerdiger Bungalow mit schönem, ruhigen Innenhof mit viel Grün und Möglichkeit zum draußen sitzen, und das trotz zentraler Lage, wer ohne Auto kommt hat die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel in unmittelbarer Nähe, alles gut zu erreichen… Vermieter freundlich und hilfsbereit, bei Fragen immer erreichbar…
  
  What could be improved: Bei Ankunft war der Bungalow nicht für neue Gäste vorbereitet, vielleicht ein Missverständnis, oder Versäumnis????
  (Müll, und Betten) Kleinigkeiten wurden aber sofort vom Vermieter behoben..
  .Schön wäre eine kleine Grundausstattung in der Küche, wie Filtertüten, Müllbeutel, Salz, Zucker,, Besen, Geschirrspülmittel, Handtuchhalter im Bad.
  Auch die Hochstühle in der Küche waren wackelig, schlecht zu sitzen.
  Aber alles Dinge die schnell zu beheben sind… Wir waren sehr zufrieden und würden die Unterkunft jederzeit empfehlen

• Sehr schöner 4 tägiger Aufenthalt, entspannter sehr freundlicher Vernieter und schönes Kleines Appartement auch mit Hund – Surine from Germany – September 15, 2024 (7/10)

  Kleines aber feines eigentlich zwei Mann Appartment ebenerdig , aber auch mit einer 4 Jährigen hatten wir ein paar schöne Tage dort. Sehr schön begrünter Innenhof eigentlich in sehr zentraler Lage.
  
  What could be improved: Wenig bis garnichts man hätte vielleicht ein kleines Bett für das Kind gehabt , aber ansonsten war alles in bester Ordnung.

  Die Lage der Wohnung ist super, von hier ist alles sehr gut zu erreichen

  Toll ist Die Lage , Lösungsorientierte Gastgebern , einigen Parkplatz im House , Offis und Einkaufsladen in der Nähe

  What could be improved: 1. Minus Punkte kriegt es an der Stelle wegen Beherbergungssteuer, die ich zum ersten mal gehört hatte , außerdem sowas sollte man in der Anzeige fassen sodass keine Böse Überraschung geben .
  2.keine Handtücher Grundausstattung ( wobei der Gastgeber hat mir welche zur Verfügung gestellt , was wiederum top ist

  Gute Anbindung an den ÖPNV, trotz der Innerstädtischen Lage relativ ruhig. Die Einrichtung ist zweckmäßig. Wir haben die Wohnung als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge genutzt und dafür ist sie völlig ausreichend.

  Die Lage der Wohnung war außergewöhnlich gut. Zur Straßenbahn zu Fuß 2 Minuten. Die Wohnung war modern und sehr schön eingerichtet. In der Küche war alles vorhanden. Parkplätze im Innenhof. Auch genügend Platz für Fahrräder. Sehr zu empfehlen!
