Mornings are especially lovely when the mist lifts off the water, and you can watch the occasional river cruise boat chug by while you’re having coffee on the balkon (which, by the way, actually fits a table and chairs comfortably, unlike those joke balconies some places try to pass off). The garden is genuinely spacious too – I watched kids run around out there for ages without bothering anyone. There’s something almost suburban about the whole vibe, which sounds boring but trust me, after a day of navigating Dresden’s busy Altstadt, coming back to this quiet pocket feels like a relief. The 4-star rating seems about right – everything works well and it’s thoughtfully set up, though don’t expect marble bathrooms or turndown service.

What really sells this place is the location once you understand Dresden a bit better. You’re close enough to Pillnitz Palace that you could easily walk there (though it’s a decent trek, maybe 20 minutes), and getting into the city center is straightforward – there’s decent public transport connections, though honestly, driving isn’t terrible either if you’ve got a car. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where actual Dresdeners go about their daily business, so you’ll find proper bakeries and local spots rather than tourist traps. I grabbed groceries at a nearby Rewe and felt oddly domestic about the whole thing. The 8.4 rating makes sense – it’s the kind of place that delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. Just don’t expect hotel-style services; this is very much an apartment rental, so if you need someone to carry your bags or recommend restaurants at midnight, you’ll be on your own.

  Die Lage war sehr gut. Vom Balkon sah man auf die Elbe. Schön war auch, dass die Kinder im Garten spielen durften.
  Zur Dresdener Altstadt und zur Sächsischen Schweiz war es nicht weit.

  Die Lage direkt an der Elbe mit großem Garten hat uns und besonders den Kindern und unserem Hund sehr gefallen.
  Der offene Wohn-Essbereich mit Küche entsprach unserem Stil.

  What could be improved: Die für 8 Personen ausgelegte Wohnung hatte nur ein kleines Bad. Auch die Couch im Wohnzimmer ist schnell „voll“.

  Die Lage ist hervorragend. Direkt am Elberadweg. Ruhig, jedoch zentral in verschiedenen Richtungen gelegen, mit vier Schlafzimmern, ist die Wohnung ideal gelegen.
  
  What could be improved: Auf dem Balkon gibt es keine Überdachung. Da wir viel Regen hatten, war es dort sehr nass.

  Die Lage des Hauses ist gut, man kann mit Bus und Straßenbahn alles bequem erreichen.
  Der große Garten und das Trampolin hat den Kinder gut gefallen.
  
  What could be improved: Der ein oder andere Einrichtungsgegenstand war nicht mehr ganz in Schuss. Das Bad ist fpr mehrere Personen recht klein.
