Speaking of which, Scharfensteinstraße is pretty quiet after 9 PM, so you’re not dealing with tram noise or late-night revelers stumbling around. The parking situation is straightforward too – they’ve got spots, and you don’t have to play musical cars every morning.

Here’s the thing though – staying up in Weißer Hirsch means you’re about a 15-minute tram ride from Dresden’s old town (the 11 line runs regularly), but honestly, that distance works in your favor. After spending days wandering through the Frauenkirche crowds and dodging tour groups at Zwinger Palace, coming back to this quiet corner feels like hitting reset. The breakfast setup is solid – not fancy, but they know what they’re doing with fresh rolls and local honey, plus coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around since dawn. I’ve stayed here in both summer and during Dresden’s gray winter months, and somehow the place maintains this cozy atmosphere year-round. The staff remembers you too, which sounds small but makes a difference when you’re feeling like just another booking number everywhere else. My only real gripe? The WiFi can get moody in some rooms, but honestly, maybe that’s not the worst thing when you’re trying to actually experience a place instead of scrolling through your phone all evening.

  Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Well equipped for a big group if you want to cook. Was lovely to have the sauna, fire place and beautiful view of the forest from the large window. Very warm underfloor heating was fantastic. The owners clearly love deer (lots of unusual artwork)!
  
  What could be improved: Usually when renting holiday homes we get an information book with useful info about the property (how to use oven/heating/fire/fridge/instructions for bins/internet/leaving the property). It would also be nice to have some milk/biscuits for when we arrive. Only other thing is that there is 1 shower between 5 bedrooms – would be useful to have another shower instead of 2 baths (although the baths were lovely!)

  Mooie locatie, sfeervol warm ingericht. Volledig uitgeruste keuken, nette badkamers, prima bedden. Schoon hygiënisch, basisbehoeften aanwezig, echt heel fijn. Tevens ruime parkeergelegenheid op eigen terrein. Heerlijke bakker op loopafstand overige winkels ook dichtbij. Dresden makkelijk te bereiken en OV ook beschikbaar.
  
  What could be improved: Voor 8 personen is 1 douche (wel 2 badkuipen) wat krap, zeker met het ontbreken van een toilet beneden. De deurkrukken zaten niet goed vast, en door het ontbreken van een kleine gereedschapskist niet kunnen repareren.
  Een iets comfortabelere bank zou meer beleving geven. Een map met activiteiten in de omgeving zou nog een toevoeging kunnen zijn.

  Het gehele huis beviel ons goed. Wat erg handig is de bushalte voor de deur waardoor je makkelijk met het openbaar vervoer kunt reizen in Dresden.
  
  What could be improved: Een kleine opmerking zijn de aanwezige pannen deze zouden wat groter kunnen zijn als je met een groep van 7 personen

  Großzügige Räume, Fasssauna, die beiden Bäder. Das Haus verfügt zudem über eine große Terrasse mit Gasgrill, alles ideal für einen Familienurlaub.
  
  What could be improved: Eine Infomappe über das Haus (wie füllt man z.B. den Wasserbehälter zur Eiswürfelbereitung auf) und über Dresden wäre hilfreich.

  Ein sehr schönes und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtetes Haus. Ruhige Lage, aber gute Anbindung an den ÖPNV. Wir (5 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden das Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.
