Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of Dresden apartments over the years, but this place on Hoyerswerdaer Straße actually surprised me. When you first walk in, you’re hit by how genuinely spacious it feels – I mean, most vacation rentals make “roomy” sound like a joke, but this two-room setup really delivers. The light streaming through those big windows honestly makes the whole space feel twice as big as it probably is.

What really sold me on this spot was the location, and I don’t mean that in some generic travel brochure way. You’re literally five minutes from the Elbe, which sounds nice on paper but becomes amazing when you realize you can grab coffee and actually walk down to the riverbank before most of the city wakes up. The Neustadt district around here has this perfect mix – it’s got that artsy, slightly bohemian vibe without being too touristy or loud. There’s this great little bakery maybe two blocks away (locals line up there Saturday mornings), and you can walk to the main Neustadt action in about ten minutes when you want dinner or drinks.

The apartment itself handles six people without that cramped vacation rental feeling – you know what I mean, where everyone’s stepping over each other trying to make breakfast. The kitchen’s actually functional, not just decorative, and there’s enough seating that doesn’t involve someone perching on a windowsill. Parking in this area can be tricky during peak tourist season, honestly, but it’s manageable if you’re not arriving on a Friday evening in summer. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you stay here – it’s one of those places that just works without any weird quirks or unpleasant surprises. The building’s pretty quiet too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to sleep off a day of sightseeing.

Here’s the thing though – this isn’t some sterile hotel experience. It feels like staying at a friend’s place who actually has good taste and knows how to host people. The whole Neustadt area comes alive in the evenings, but not in an obnoxious way, more like a neighborhood where people actually want to live. You can walk across the Augustus Bridge to the old town in maybe fifteen minutes, or just stay local and discover why this side of the river has become such a draw. I ended up spending way more time just wandering the nearby streets than I expected, which is usually a good sign.

  The apartment is spacious and clean. The living room serves as a second bedroom. Suitable for a few nights stay. The Old Town is also within walking distance.
  
  What could be improved: The noise of the tram can be heard in the apartment, especially if you sleep in the living room. There is no dishwasher.

  Very confortable appartment with all equipment we need for short stay:
  1 bed in bedroom and two double sofas in main room. Enough space for 5 people.
  well eqiuped kitchen

  Very good instructions how to reach appartment – no doubt what to do.
  Parking at nearest street (free for weenend , and 3€/day at working day)
  Localisation was fine for us – restaurants in 10-15minuts walk, old town 25 minutes walk (or you can take a tram)

  The apartment is in a really good location. It is modern and quiet. The owner sent me a website with everything I needed to know explained in there. It was fairly easy to find the place and get in. I was really happy not hearing any noises from neighbours or street. While not a priority when traveling, I really appreciated having a large and good smart tv for some of the lazy days.
  
  I will definitely repeat if I come back to Dresden.

  Huge place, nice layout of the apartment, easy to collect/leave keys.
  I was there for only 1 night, and my impression was great.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing was bad. Something that could be better is thicker towels and more sturdy hangers, but that's just going into the small details.
