You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star apartment rental on Glacisstraße, but this little two-room setup completely won me over. The thing about Dresden’s Neustadt is that it’s got this perfect sweet spot between being lively and actually livable – and this place sits right in that zone. You’re literally a five-minute walk from all the cool bars and restaurants along Hauptstraße, but honestly, the street itself is surprisingly quiet at night. I mean, you’ll hear some weekend revelry, but nothing that’ll keep you awake if you’re a reasonably normal sleeper.

The apartment itself feels way more spacious than you’d expect – I think it’s because they didn’t try to cram too much furniture in there. The kitchen is actually functional (shocking, I know, for a rental), and you’ve got everything you need if you want to grab some fresh stuff from the weekend market at Neustädter Markt. Speaking of which, that’s maybe a seven-minute walk, and honestly one of my favorite Saturday morning spots in the whole city. The living room has these big windows that let in tons of light, which is clutch during Dresden’s grayer months. What really got me though was how they set up the bedroom – it’s separate enough that you feel like you have real privacy, not like you’re living in a glorified hotel room. The Wi-Fi actually works well (tested it extensively, naturally), and there’s decent water pressure in the shower, which… look, after staying in enough European rentals, you learn not to take that for granted.

Here’s the thing that really sealed it for me: the whole area just works for how people actually want to experience Dresden. You can walk to the Elbe riverfront in about fifteen minutes – perfect for those evening strolls everyone raves about. The tram connections are solid if you want to pop over to the Altstadt for the touristy stuff (though honestly, I found myself spending way more time exploring Neustadt’s vibe). There’s a decent grocery store maybe three blocks away, and you’re close enough to places like Katy’s Garage or Lebowski Bar that you can stumble home without thinking too hard about it. The whole check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – none of that “meet me at this random cafe with exact change” nonsense you sometimes get with apartment rentals. I’d definitely stay here again, and at that 8.9 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who feels that way. It’s just… comfortable, you know? Like staying at a friend’s place who actually has their life together.

  Die Wohnung war sehr schön eingerichtet und alles Notwendige vorhanden. Die Lage war genial, nur wenige Meter vom Bahnhof Dresden-Neustadt entfernt. Die Altstadt ist fußläufig gut erreichbar.
  TIPP: HopOn HopOff Stadtrundfahrt vorher online buchen, denn 100 Meter neben der Wohnung ist ein Busstopp!

  Die Lage ist super, sehr zentral und doch ruhig. Man kann zu Fuß die Neustadt erkunden, ist schnell an der Elbe und auch innerhalb von 20 Minuten in der Altstadt. Mit der Straßenbahn, die in der Nähe abfährt, geht's noch schneller. Die Wohnung ist hell und gemütlich, sehr praktisch eingerichtet und hat einen kleinen Balkon. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war nett und unkompliziert. Wir kommen gern wieder.

  Die Lage nahe des Albertplatzes (Tipp: vorher Erich Kästner lesen: Als ich ein kleiner Junge war) in DD-Neustadt ist sensationell, alles Notwendige fußläufig erreichbar, Theater, Kino, Bäcker, Cafes, Restaurants, Einkaufspassagen, Augustusbrücke, Semperoper und und und … das Apartment ist definitiv das Geld wert, für zwei Personen geräumig, der Balkon lädt zum draußen sitzen ein, Dusche funktioniert so warm wie man will, bequemes Sofa zum Lesen (TV haben wir nicht genutzt), ruhige Nachbarschaft, schöne Umgebung.
